Alright. So who else screamed when they saw Rowan Atkinson show up in the Opening Ceremonies? Huh?
I know I was laughing! (still am)

(Yeah, I'm stretching the Jeeves Wooster/Blackadder/Mr.Bean connection just a tidge, but I really want to be excited about it with someone, none of my real life family or friends care as much. heh heh)

I've read Such Innocence Again and I was wondering if more Blackadder/Jeeves & Wooster xovers were out there. The only one I can find was Blackadder and Wooster on ff.net, Does anyone know of any more?

Time for some Blackadder crossover fic! :D

Title: Such Innocence Again
Fandom: Blackadder and Jeeves & Wooster
Rating: PG
Summary: As Lt. George nears the end of his life, Bertie Wooster begins his.
Warnings: Major spoilers for Blackadder S04E06 and Jeeves & Wooster S01E01, character death, and some mention of violence.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Blackadder OR Jeeves & Wooster, and I’m making no money from this unauthorized work of fiction. The title is from Philip Larkin’s poem MCMXIV.
Notes: This uses the “Jeeves Takes Charge” plot from the ITV series, not the short story. And the 1917 University Boat Race was never actually held, due to the war.

While watching Blackadder over the weekend, I began to wonder- what would have happened if Rowan Atkinson had been asked to play Jeeves instead of Stephen Fry. I mean, Laurie's character is much the same (yet, dare I say it- smarter? in Plum's version) and both Blackadder and Jeeves share the similarities of serving the Prince/Wooster (henceforth shortened to Prince Wooster), rescuing him from the soup, being the cleverest one in the room, coming out ahead in every situation, and being darker to Prince Wooster's light.
Now, the characters are similar, but obviously different, so if Atkinson had gotten the role he'd be playing it slightly differently than he would his Blackadder role.

But it still stands Jeeves would probably sound much more blackadderish/malicious if he had gotten the role. How much do you think that would impact the message and interpretation of Plum's stories? And as a theoretical, which would you prefer/ think is more true to the stories?

Macro tiems again.

First, some completely and utterly shameless plugging.

Kinda off-topic, but I know that where there are Jeeves and Wooster fans, there are likely to be Blackadder fans as well. This is a Blackadder art meme I made months ago since there weren't any on DeviantArt and literally no one has done it except me. Just putting that out there.

Also, I noticed that no one commented on my recent art post. Just wondering, but would it be better/easier for you guys if I just posted the picture itself instead of a link to it? Because I've noticed that most people do that.

BUT.

1. Blackadder x-overs. The first one of these, ‘Eddie says what ho’, has a plot device that is out of this world. Really. They manage to convince Bertie THAT JEEVES DOES NOT EXIST. Jeeves. Not existing. Bertie copes with this news about as well as anyone in this comm. would.

2. A Doctor Who x –over. I’m not actually a Doctor Who fan, but this seems quite good.

3. And finally, a House x-over. I didn’t want to believe in this story at first, featuring as it did, House as Bertie’s grandson and Jeeves’ grandson, but it grabbed me. Tis a WIP.Tis also House/Cameron.
