Hullo, hullo, hullo, hullo! I have been working on a new fic, which is a sequel to The Mating Season. I recently re-read TMS, and was so smitten by the adorable dynamic between Bertie Wooster and the story's romantic lead, Esmond Haddock, that I found myself shipping them like burning by the end of it. As far as I can tell, there is no fic at all featuring poor old Esmond, so I've decided to contribute a little of my own.

Title: "We Want Haddock"
Rating: T
Genre: Romantic comedy
Words: 2616 (so far)
Chapters: 1/?
Summary: After returning home from his adventures at Deverill Hall, Bertie finds his thoughts lingering on the devastatingly handsome Esmond Haddock. When Bertie learns that Esmond and Cora "Corky" Pirbright have severed their engagement, he struggles to patch things up between his pals. Meanwhile, Jeeves has plans of his own.

By the way, if you haven't read The Mating Season, I can't recommend it enough. I'd forgotten just how good it is, and the TV adaptation of it just doesn't do it justice.

What-ho, everyone! I bring some new fic, though I must apologise because the tone may have suffered somewhat due to the subject matter - blackmail.

Summary: Upon a brief soujorn to Blandings, the efficient (and somewhat interferring) Baxter seems to suspect Bertie Wooster of something diabolical, though he isn't quite sure of what... Through intrusive observation and a misunderstanding, he comes to the conclusion that he is having an illicit, homosexual affair with his valet, Jeeves.

You can also read it at AO3.

Fan_flashworks Challenge: The Other Side

Characters: Jeeves, Bertie, Chuffy Chuffnell, OMC

Summary: As a self-described old, old man, Jeeves thinks back to the days when Bertie had gone off to war.  And Jeeves had fought back in his own quiet way, behind the scenes, with eggs and sausages.

Word count: ~4000 (Yes…merciless)

Warnings: Major character death. (Sad, but not horrible as he lived a long, full life.)

To do some good...

Jeeves and the Doubts that Assail

Jeeves at the Place de la Concorde

Jeeves and the Pruney Toes

Summary: A Jooster sort of Seven-Year Itch sort of a story in three parts.  As the heyday of the Jooster comes to an end, Jeeves flees to Paris.  High jinks ensue.  Parts 1 and 2 are rather angsty with the typical dispute over an article of clothing.

Warnings: Jeeves gets weepy. Musty bed sheets.  And, of course, Rocky Todd is a bit of a muffin.

Word Count: 8,974
Disclaimer: I'm most certainly not PG Wodehouse, just playing with his creations; not claiming anything, profiting in any way, or likely to stop any time soon.
Warnings: Not particularly; Manly smooches, Silly schemes, Oodles of fluff, Large helpings of shmoop.
Original Prompt: "Christmas And New Year Jooster Fest Prompt: #19. Snowballs/snowman/sucking a icicle"
Summary: Claude & Eustace Wooster beseech Bertie to help them woo twin girls via skiing holiday; hijinx, as one might expect, ensue.

Title: Jeeves and the Amatory Dilemma
Author: who_la_hoop
Pairing: Jeeves/Wooster
Rating: PG13
Warnings: None
Word Count: ~23.5k
Disclaimer: All characters belong to dear old Plum. No copyright infringement is intended.
Summary: I don’t know if you have ever had your torso scraped with a butter knife by your valet. There is not much in the experience to recommend it. Particularly when you suspect said valet is not entirely happy with you, and so wields the implement with more vim than strictly necessarily.

Or, the tale of how Bertie and Jeeves finally Confessed All to each other, despite – or, possibly, because of – the passion-dampening affects of Giant Squirts, thwarted wrestling, unhappy boating, rabbits (both of the Luminous and Dream varieties), an aunt who breakfasts on the ground bones of nephews who displease her, and a pair of very natty yellow socks.

(Onward to AO3 for the story)

Title: Jeeves and the Flying Cleaver Dilemma (Chapters 4 and 5)
Summary: Jeeves and Bertie return to England after a year in Europe.  Jeeves gives Bertie an important token of affection. Stilton gets a backrub. Meanwhile, Anatole and Seppings are perturbed by spy business.

Pairings: Jeeves and Bertie (still in the first flush of new love and very cute), Anatole and Seppings (also quite endearing), Stilton and OMC

Warnings: Much less whatnot than the previous installments of this tale.  Knives are bunged about.

Additional notes: I am struggling a bit with this because it backs up against the flashbacks in the "Darkest Hour" and I do not want to give too much away.

Any hints on the hand signals Bertie can use to tell Jeeves he loves him during house parties would be welcome.

I did sketches of all the young ladies (even the ones who rarely get drawn, like Rosie and Corky), but then I saw that they were too generically pretty and even with their individual features they still all still looked too much the same somehow. That's boring for me. Bertie, why didn't you hang out with more plain/odd-featured women? I still plan to draw the ladies, but I want to make their appearances a bit more unique and distinctive first, so that will have to wait a while.

Until then, have some Jooster.
