Um hullo... *fingers tie nervously* *breaks ornament on mantlpiece*  I'm new here. *waves nervously*

I have a P.G. Wodehouse parody that may appeal to people who are also Sherlock Holmes and John Watson fans. Or you might lynch me.  Either way... *ahem*

Title: If they loved John and Sherlock like we love John and Sherlock - two parodies.
Author: P.G. Wodehouse and Dorothy Parker - as dictated to [livejournal.com profile] warriorbot
Fandom: Any Holmes and Watson, Wodehouse's Jeeves and Wooster
Rating: PG- fittingly enough (Possibly PG-13 for Dot!)
Wordcount: ~1,000
Summary: Slash in the style of my favourite writer and my favourite poet
Warnings: If you don't know and love the works of P.G. Wodehouse or Dorothy Parker you may well hate these.  If you do know and love the works of P.G. Wodehouse or Dorothy Parker you will definitely hate these...

Here, answering my own challenge - and I do think this will end up being part of a series, as well - is a slashiful ickle Bertie sonnet.
(Hopefully, I pronounce joie de vivre correctly in my head - I've never actually heard someone say the phrase aloud - because otherwise, the bally thing doesn't scan.)

I'm drawing up a list of workable plot bunnies at the mo, and I had the idea for a poetic back-and-forth sort of affair between Bertie and Jeeves. I haven't actually started on it yet, but this little poem slipped out as I was thinking about it. Very lightly slashy (one might even say it's preslash, actually), Bertie's POV.

Epitaph to a Dog

NEAR this spot
Are deposited the Remains
of one
Who possessed Beauty
Without Vanity,
Strength without Insolence,
Courage without Ferocity,
And all the Virtues of Man
Without his Vices.
This Praise, which would be unmeaning flattery
If inscribed over Human Ashes,
Is but a just tribute to the Memory of
"Boatswain," a Dog
Who was born at Newfoundland,
May, 1803,
And died at Newstead Abbey
Nov. 18, 1808.

...

I wrote a poem-song that was inspired by our adorable friends Jeeves & Bertie. Thought I'd show someone. ^^;

It's here. It's called "Carry On", and it's the last train-wreck at the bottom.

Feedback is slurped happily through a straw, but not necessary. :)

Cross-posted to my journal, [livejournal.com profile] indeedsir, and [livejournal.com profile] rightho.

I've just had the audacity to claim the Jeeves and Wooster fandom in the [livejournal.com profile] fanfic100 challenge. God only knows how much writing I've let myself in for, but I know at least a couple people who'll be pleased. These can be drabbles, poems, scripts, whatever goes past 100 words, but they have to adhere to a table of 100 different prompts. I'll certainly be adding/editing before I post it to the [livejournal.com profile] fanfic100 community.

Title: Drones Club Haiku
Fandom: Jeeves and Wooster
Author: Careena Cornette (Careena @ Gmail)
Prompt: #049, "Club"
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Many haiku-- some dreadfully immature-- about the Drones Club.
Archiving: Yes, given notice.

DRONES CLUB HAIKU
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you both went to
answer that phone call, you seem
to have swapped your shirts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excuse me, but I'd
like to chuck some rolls about,
and you're in the way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The silence of the
library, broken by my
new whoopie cushion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No coincidence,
our club's proximity to
all those Turkish baths.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Later on, the haiku become really, really FILTHY. )
