Hullo, hullo, hullo, hullo! I have been working on a new fic, which is a sequel to The Mating Season. I recently re-read TMS, and was so smitten by the adorable dynamic between Bertie Wooster and the story's romantic lead, Esmond Haddock, that I found myself shipping them like burning by the end of it. As far as I can tell, there is no fic at all featuring poor old Esmond, so I've decided to contribute a little of my own.

Title: "We Want Haddock"
Rating: T
Genre: Romantic comedy
Words: 2616 (so far)
Chapters: 1/?
Summary: After returning home from his adventures at Deverill Hall, Bertie finds his thoughts lingering on the devastatingly handsome Esmond Haddock. When Bertie learns that Esmond and Cora "Corky" Pirbright have severed their engagement, he struggles to patch things up between his pals. Meanwhile, Jeeves has plans of his own.

By the way, if you haven't read The Mating Season, I can't recommend it enough. I'd forgotten just how good it is, and the TV adaptation of it just doesn't do it justice.

*Cough* Um . . . hello, everyone. I think it's been *looks at watch* a couple years now since I did anything with it, but by Jove, I am still writing this story. It shambles on. I've had to put it on the back burner because life, but I swear I will finish it, and lately it has really been nagging at me. Although I really ought to be working on other things.

Anyway, here it is. A little bitty update, but still an update.

A Deuced Difficult Dilemma, Chapter 13 (on AO3).

What-ho! I'm new to this community but have loved Jeeves and Wooster for a long time, so I thought I'd introduce myself with a fanfiction. :)
This fanfiction was actually based on a day out that I had last May, as whilst I was there I was imagining all sorts of mischief and mayhem that Bertie would find himself getting tangled up in! The location that inspired it was Tatten Park in Cheshire, on a day it was hosting a summer country fair, although in this fic I made it set in a Wodehouse location. The memories of watching jousting that day are very fond ones, so of course I had to write a little something with it in mind.

Title: Country Fair
Pairing: Jeeves/Bertie
Summary: A dashed uncomfortable experience including armour, horses and a lance led to one Bertram Wilberforce Wooster landing in the soup yet again, and finding himself in a rummy situation regarding his paragon of a valet, Jeeves.
Rating: G
Words: 5,192
Disclaimer: The wonderful world of Jeeves does not belong to me - if it did, I'd be a millionaire living in a castle, but sadly not. Characters belong to P.G. Wodehouse.

What ho, all! I'm still alive! And I'm still working on this! The whole blasted thing as it currently exists is up on AO3: http://archiveofourown.org/works/728447

Rated PG, characters not mine, and all that rot.

But here is the brief update for now:

Hello, my very favorite people of the internet-thingwhatsit. Here are some new and improved photos inspired by [livejournal.com profile] godsdaisiechain's bally marvelous Gentleman's Personal Djinn series (I really wasn't happy with my first attempt). I have been trying out different photo editing techniques to imitate black and white, sepia, and hand colored photos. Do you have advice or suggestions from your superior knowledge of things 1920s and 1930s about what I should be doing with color, graininess, exposure, contrast, etc. or advice of good websites to consult on the topic?

A Jeeves and Wooster photo story in artsy historically accurate black and white. (Itโ€™s like Spindrift, but without those pesky words!). This is the first real photo story I've done with Bertie and Reginald, so I would totally love it if you would take a look, old chaps.

Title: The Mystery of the Valet in the Night Time

Synopsowhatsit: Why, exactly would one's valet appear in the bedchamber wearing not his usual valet-ish garb, but only his long and revelatory undergarments? In which a Rex West novel is hastily discarded, Jeeves smirks, and Bertie boggles.

Rating: PG. Since one would never bandy a gentlemanโ€™s personal gentlemanโ€™s name (or pictorial likeness), anything too unseemly is left subtly implied.

The cow creamer is put to new uses...

Preview:

“You are bally gorgeous. I want you…I have never wanted anything or anyone more. You must know that.  You blasted know everything else. But I wanted you to be free. Why are you still here?”

Jeeves ran the back of his fingers down Bertie’s naked breast to the waist of his loose linen trousers, then leaned forward and kissed him again. The slender man made an urgent noise as their legs tangled. “You taste like honey. Dates and honey.”
