New Jooster Community on Imzy!

I just wanted to let you all know that I've started a new community for fans Jeeves and Wooster and Wodehouse stuff in general over on Imzy! It's an interesting new platform, better suited for discussion than Tumblr and easier to search than LJ.

Also, I hope this doesn't sound like too much of an annoying ad, butday_by_drabble is awesome! They run periodic month-long challenges with a prompt a day and people post fics of up to 1000 words from any and all fandoms (except real person fic). Since it is for all kinds of short fic, it is a really easy way to try out new fandoms, get some new ideas for old fandoms, or just have a little quick fun. The current set is running from Jan. 15 to Feb. 15 so if anyone is interested, there's plenty of time to join in. I think this is the first Jeeves fic posted there and I'd love to see more, but, as I said, they take any fandom. The basic information for the current drabblethon is here.

There is a twitter book club called @1book140. Every month, participants select a book and read it together on twitter with fun little discussions and the like. December's book is Right Ho, Jeeves.

I've finally, with some off-time, accomplished this: the kink meme filler community.

If for some reason its existence offends someone somewhere along the line for any reason, contact the mod (that's me!) for questions/ comments/ concerns.
The way it works is as follows:
If you want to keep track of the fillers onohidosay , but don't want to track comments and weed out the prompts (and be spammed to high-hell), feel free to join. If you want your own ficcage to be more easily accessible, feel free to join.
If you're content with the way things are, feel free to *not* join.
If you yourself want to post on the community, you must be a member. Since there is no "anonymous" posting option, you may either contact me, and I'll post anonymously for you regardless of the subject matter, or you may have a comfortable lj-friend (anyone you trust reading your stuff) or a beta post for you, although they (and I) must not take credit, and must be tagged under "anonymous post".

Filler community for kink meme?

As it happens, I am not Jeeves, merely a civilian who wants to improve a facility so that it may benefit myself and the multitude of others who watch, are involved with, and in general enjoy utilizing the Wodehouse kink meme.
I've posted aboutohidosay before, and only a handful of ideas were tossed up. So here's my idea, and my offer:
Suppose one were to make something in the arena of a second community to correspond and sister our lovely kink meme? One specifically for filled prompts?
Well, I am offering to create and moderate and put what time I have to offer into such a community. I am also offering, since anonymous *posts* can't yet be made in LJ communities to my knowledge, to filter those who want to be posted but not attributed. In short, I'd be the only one who knew, and if that doesn't suit them, then they can continue to live almost entirely unnoticed in the prompt kink meme. I'm not trying to sound unsympathetic, but if that's what they want, then I shan't interfere with their cozy existence.

So a discussion was in bloom on this post which, we believe, should be opened to the general public (and should be carried on elsewhere rather than loitering in an unrelated post, the more to stop bothering the author of said u. p. ).
The lovely maintainers ofohidosay are bright, patient, creative things who have, I'm sure, earned everyone's respect and admiration for the work they put into keeping us primed and porned and overall contented. But I fear a slight miscalculation on the sheer mass of comments for prompts which flooded the community has resulted in its current state of tragic neglect. Our beloved porn prompt is surrounded by overgrown grasses and shrubbery and ensconced in constricting vines. Its formidable appearance intimidates newcomers and gives a headache to those of our number who remember the good old days (really good old 'day', as it seemed the prompt rate went from three to three hundred practically overnight once the thing began).
Attempts have been made on the community by mods and volunteers to amend this tragic loss of a great facility that began with (well, not pure, I mean to say) but progressive, innovative, helpful intentions.
Well, what do we do about it? Brainstorming began on the linked post, but as I mentioned, the thing was recommended to be posted to the masses in general.
I put it to you fine people to aid the brainstorming process, to save our beloved adult meme.

blocked_fanfic is the name, sharing writing resources is the game. It's a place for discussions, one-sentence fics, plot bunny adoption, prompts given and taken, etc. In short, a one-stop shop for anything related to writer's block. If you feel the need to commiserate, if you have good advice for those prone to writer's block, or simply want someone to prompt you a little, this is the place for it.
I hope my prompt doesn't offend, and feel free to come join if you need to get your creative juices flowing again ^^

xover_exchangeis a multifandom fanfic exchange focusing on crossovers. Jeeves & Wooster (but I made some caveats so that the entire Wodehouse universe could be eligible) is one of our official fandoms and we'd love to have more authors sign up. Hugh Laurie Charity Drive

this is a friendly reminder for our little charity drive over athl_bday_drive.
We will be collecting donations till Hugh´s birthday on June 11 and there are still lots of creative people waiting to be bid on here. Of course you can also donate without grabbing a creative goodie.
So far we´re at 36% of our goal of collecting $5000 for Save the Children.
In our F.A.Q we´ve listed different possibilities to donate. The fastest is over here at our donation page.
We´re dependent on you and your enthusiasm for spreading the word to make our fan drive successful.
What´s left to say other than:

I've never seen the Jeeves&Wooster fandom represented there, which is a shame, because this community usually produces utterly delicious and kinky things. Briefly, the point is that everyone can submit prompts for fic and/or art, centered around a sexual kink, and then anyone can claim the prompts and write fic/make art.
I ask because the comm is opening round eleven now, I think, and there's been a lot of discussion on drag!fic, masochist!Jeeves and things like that :) Sounds perfect for kinky fic, if you ask me ^^
