So...Jeeves and Handsome Black Elevator Man.
There must be fic, right? Why isn't there fic? I cannot be the only person who thinks their knowing looks exchanged imply SEX SEX SEX.

Date: 2009-05-04 04:35 am (UTC)I was thinking it'd be cool if he were part of the Jazz scene, a musician in a band or something.

Date: 2009-05-03 10:17 pm (UTC)Jeeves: "His manservant. His gentleman's personal gentleman. His valet."
You can see the cogs turning as to what 'gentleman's personal gentleman' might imply!
But then, as Jeeves walks away, his 'mmm-mmm!' is rather one of appreciation for the man, rather than just amusement at his suspicions of an interesting set-up between Jeeves and Bertie, I like to think. :)

Date: 2009-05-03 08:40 am (UTC)Although, I wouldn't say no to a scene between him and Jeeves doing something naughty in the lift ;)

Date: 2009-05-03 10:14 pm (UTC)Jeeves is going to be far more concerned with class than with race. He is a servant. So is the liftman. Bertie, however? Well.
*makes case for plot-bunny*

Date: 2009-05-03 08:41 pm (UTC)SO, my point here (yes, had one, just a moment ago, aha!) I could see the elevator chap talking the way he's 'expected' to and then breaking character in an intimate moment, which might work quite well in a little ficcish fun.

Date: 2009-05-04 08:41 pm (UTC)Like some others, I think I prefer him to be a guy who sees all the comings and goings and to be 'onto' Bertie and Jeeves. He strikes me as an indulgent man who nevertheless has a certain moral code, perhaps grounded in certain religious views.
Loved that scene when Bertie was dragging drunk Motty home:
CONEYBEAR: Sure is kinda late to be coming home, sir.
BERTIE: Well, you know how it is.
CONEYBEAR: No sir, I don't, Mr. Wooster. Praise be, I don't.
He is a super-goood-looking guy, though. That I agree with wholeheartedly.
