Like some others, I think I prefer him to be a guy who sees all the comings and goings and to be 'onto' Bertie and Jeeves. He strikes me as an indulgent man who nevertheless has a certain moral code, perhaps grounded in certain religious views.
Loved that scene when Bertie was dragging drunk Motty home:
CONEYBEAR: Sure is kinda late to be coming home, sir. BERTIE: Well, you know how it is. CONEYBEAR: No sir, I don't, Mr. Wooster. Praise be, I don't.
He is a super-goood-looking guy, though. That I agree with wholeheartedly.
