Good cheap digital Wodehouse

So I did a search for "Jeeves" on the iTunes App Store (for iPhones and iPod Touches) the other day and I came across a wonderful little item called Classics of PG Wodehouse. It's basically a package of e-book versions of The Little Nugget, Indiscretions of Archie, Psmith in the City, Psmith Journalist, and My Man Jeeves. And it was only $1.99.
So, to reiterate:
5 complete Wodehouse novels.
On your special 'Pod.
For two bucks.
I don't think I need say more.
In other news: when my current Photoshop-heavy project tones down later this week, I will try to give you guys the First-Few-Weeks College ofJeeves and Wooster Photo Tour, hosted by myself and the boys, involving brick paths, evil black squirrels, and a particularly dangerous library banister.
Toodle-pip! Mercy be on my schedule!

The Arrow Collar Man

Hello there. This happens to be my first 'casual' sort of post in this community (aside from one icon post). Unfortunately for me, and rather fortunately for you I do not come bearing any fanfiction or art, but something I've discovered a few minutes ago. I think most of you might have heard of this, being the amazingly knowledgeable Ladies and Gentlemen you truly are.
The Arrow Collar Man, and J.C. Leyendecker's other work.
What does this have to do with Jeeves and Wooster?, you might ask, well basically nothing except the time period, I've been awe-struck by this man's work. Just take a look.
I give you, Charles Beach, Jeeves' long-lost Canadian cousin.

His most successful campaign was for the Arrow shirt company, and his Arrow collar man [pictured] became the very epitome of American manliness, prosperity & style, at one time getting more fanmail and proposals of marriage than Rudolph Valentino. What his legion of fans did not realise was that their idol, Leyendecker`s model was in fact his lover, Charles Beach.
He and Leyendecker were together for over 50 years, his role encompassing model, husband, cook & business manager. Despite Leyendecker's fame, his life is not so well-known now because he lived discreetly. - source

Silly Question/Serious Fic
Sep. 2nd, 2009 04:26 pm![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
First, a silly question: I know most fanfics and fanart show Bertie as being blond, and that's how I see him myself, I just wondered is there a place in the stories where it says he is?
Now, the serious fic.
Title: The Last Toodle-Pip
Summary: Bertie can no longer hide who he is. Warnings for suicide and referenced rape.
Rating: T
Words: 1,600
Disclaimer: Familiar characters are Plum's.

Hullo there!
I've been doing brief, silly Joostery things over at my journal.
Right this way, if you'd like a peek.
Very gentle PG, really.
