Fanworks exchange update!

Hi again! I'm happy to report that I'm going forward with the fanworks exchange idea, and I've set up a Tumblr blog for it, right here. I will try to keep people updated here though I will probably post more announcements there. Please follow the blog if you're interested in the exchange! Also, I would really appreciate any help spreading the word there! :)

If you're running the exchange - which sounds awesome! - maybe consider running it through AO3? Promote it and give community updates on LJ and Tumblr, for sure, but Tumblr-run exchanges (where the signups and posting occur on Tumblr) have an unfortunately very high dropout/failure rate.

Yeah I am running the exchange. :) Hmm, I hadn't thought about running it through AO3. I think I want to give Tumblr a chance first, since I'm more familiar with it so I'll do a better job, and I think it's more suitable for sharing multiple types of fanworks like art and gifs and such. I could be totally wrong though, and I will definitely consider running it through AO3 if running it on Tumblr doesn't work out. I might ask you for advice if that happens since I don't know much about AO3 exchanges :D

No worries! Familiarity with your platform is good, and tumblr does have much better image hosting. I hope everything goes off without a hitch for you. ^.^
