I would do this myself but I don't have clue one how to make a fanvid. Could someone please do a fanvid to "Dedicated Follower of Fashion" by the Kinks of Bertie's various outfits and Jeeves not approving of them?
[identity profile] dogwoodblossom.livejournal.com
Somebody on my f-list posted this link in the context of Doctor Who, but I thought ya'll Indeed Sirers would find it interesting too. It's a film (in colour!) of London in the 1920's. And the breakaway panels are full of bad puns. Corking stuff.

[identity profile] mxdp.livejournal.com
I dreamed of this little scene, only a tad more Jooster-like. Oops.

The waters have been a bit quiet on my front, and I thought any contribution would be nice at this point.

If you haven't read Kazou Ishiguro's The Remains of the Day, I highly recommend it. Or the movie. Or both.
It tells the story of Stevens, an English butler who has dedicated his life to the loyal service of one Lord Darlington. So dedicated even, that he's oblivious of the real life that goes on around him: who his employer really is, and - heartbreaking - he doesn't allow himself to fall in love, as you can see in the clip *also, insert Jeeves here*
Sounds boring maybe, but it's one of my most cherished books and I am sure it won't leave you unaffected.

Whatever the plural of octopus is (spellcheck says yes to all three), here are a couple of the chaps.

ExpandMeet Wilberforce and Reggie... )

I've also got a music video. It does not include octopi octopuses octopods sea creatures.

(I think this might be my first post here. Did I do it right?)

I just saw this and couldn't help laughing my ass off imagining Bertie doing this number, much to Jeeves's chagrin.

Hi!
My new fanvid. Fluff and nothing more :-))
Hope you like it!

[identity profile] princesshannah4.livejournal.com
What ho! Goodness, I've been gone a while. So sorry, Doctor Who ate my life (when/if I finish that crossover fic, I will be sure to post it here).

Well, I've just started my sophomore year at the College of Jeeves and Wooster and decided to plaster my walls with nerdy things. See if you can pick out some cameos by our lovely boys. (warning in advance: Macbook webcams are weird, so everything is backwards)

Not seen (since they're on the outside of my door) are a couple macros labeled "WWJD?" and "Every time you call Jeeves a butler, God kills a kitten."

Fanvids

I wanted to make a fanvid on this song. But I couldn't stop, so... I present to you two vids:-)

If you can't watch this video on YouTube, you may download it here (28 Mb)

This video is made by [livejournal.com profile] indrikhole, but she is too shy to post it here, so I'm doing this for her :-)
And I think this video is really spiffing and corking!

A little explanation: Bertie is writing a letter to Jeeves while he is on his holiday, but absentmindedly (or maybe deliberately :-)) writes his own address on the envelope :-)

I found these at YouTube after one of them was mentioned at a group:

tinyurl.com/23cmruc London Life 1930

tinyurl.com/2e4bvyd  London 1920s

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipAYUpqDVNI&feature=PlayList&p=2189B4FCA011C2A1&index=21

Hyde Park 1926

There are more of London during different years, too. I find it interesting to see some of the things Bertie and Jeeves would have been familiar with.

If you are interested in this, Chariots of Fire has scenes of England in the 20s including some wonderful views of Eton. {In the film it's called Cambridge but if you listen to the commentary the actual filming took place at Eton}. Stephen Fry is in Chariots but I couldn't find him in the mentioned scene.

Yes, if I don´t pass my exams, it will be because of these two.

At the end of the term there is always lots of studying and other splendid activities so naturally I just had to do something completely useless just to avoid that. And here it is. Another crack! vid with lots of sugar and Scottish accent. Jeeves sees an announcement in the papers and gets an idea... AU where everything is possible.

First, In case any of you wanted I clipped the part of Bohemian Rhapsody so you don't have to watch the whole horrid thing to see the 30 seconds of Jeeves and Wooster.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpROtXGgDi4

Second, I adapted Gussie's prize presenting speech at Market Snodsberry Grammar School (Right Ho, Jeeves) into a dramatic monologue, as I just watched the adaption in the television program and I was not impressed with the way the writers cut it nor how the actor delivered it.

http://amphitritie.livejournal.com/660.html

Third, anyone know where I can attain the MP3 to Good Evening Vienna, or something to that affect.

Fourth, I promise to bring you all fanart soon, but after a dreary day I came home, expecting to make progress on my pieces, but could not find the pencil sharpener. Rummy.

Fifth, I rewatched Season 1 today and realized again how much I adore Tuppy. I just wanna give him a hug! Steak and kidney pie!

Under the cut is an embed of a very early 10-minute color film of London in 1927. This is the sort of world Bertie and Jeeves would have lived in. ExpandIt seems so much quieter than our world, doesn't it? )

Fanart for: Jeeves And The Missing Memories  by [livejournal.com profile] storyfan
"Art" is Right here
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] mxdp
Rating: G. I drew children. But maybe I should rate it R, as I suck at drawing children and some weakhearted amongst you might feel faint.

Enjoy!

PS: I've posted this a while ago on my LJ, but you might wanna see this Mitchell & Webb clip . Brace yourselves. :D

[identity profile] princesshannah4.livejournal.com
First, here's the art:

Title: With Mounting Heat and Passion (named for Stephen Fry's How to be Gorgeous monologue)
Pairing: Bertie/Jeeves
Summary: SECKS?
Rating: R
Disclaimer: Just barely teetering on the edge of not-worksafe (I've temporarily taken down the Mature Content Warning for you guys).

Sweet freaking Jesus, %100-digital art that I'm actually REALLY proud of...

Title: Pillowtalk: Color
Pairing: Bertie/Jeeves
Summary: Some post-carnal fluffiness
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: Lineart by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] mxdp

The aftermath. Things have cooled down a bit.

Second, is anyone here familiar with the book Gay New York by George Chauncey? It covers Wodehouse-era homosexual subculture in NYC, and I thought I'd put its existence out there for anyone who wants to look up stuff for newyork!Jooster fics. I haven't actually read it myself, but OH SWEET LORDY LORD DO I WANT TO.

Toodle-pip.

Did you see?

Well, stephen just tweeted about [livejournal.com profile] angieveep's YT vid to the "Personal Penguin" song that I think is adorable here

Did anyone here tweet him about it, I wonder? :)
[identity profile] pipariperho.livejournal.com

First, just to make sure you guys have an over-dose of macros and such, I made few of my own. They are here as I'm too lazy to go through the LJ-cuts again...

Now, the second thingummie I had in mind was about vids and how to make one. I would love to make some Jooster-ones to this lovely comm but I have no idea how to do it. Well, to be precise, I know how to use the program, I have so many ideas in my mind and I have bought the dvd's but I have no idea how to get the stuff from the dvd's to my computer so that I would be able to start the vid-making puzzle. If there is a person willing to help me out, I would be forever grateful. Thanks.

Having just got into Star Trek, and Kirk/Spock shipping, I was searching for fanvids on youtube when I came across this...I find it hilarious.

[identity profile] heatherlp.livejournal.com
Anyone seen this? It's a Middle School in L.A. playing the theme tune to Jeeves & Wooster. I can only say that I wish my school was as cool as theirs.
