Sweet freaking Jesus, %100-digital art that I'm actually REALLY proud of...

The aftermath. Things have cooled down a bit.

Second, is anyone here familiar with the book Gay New York by George Chauncey? It covers Wodehouse-era homosexual subculture in NYC, and I thought I'd put its existence out there for anyone who wants to look up stuff for newyork!Jooster fics. I haven't actually read it myself, but OH SWEET LORDY LORD DO I WANT TO.

Toodle-pip.

I haven't read it, but I once heard George Chauncey talk about the history of sodomy laws (this was right before Lawrence v. Texas was decided and all of the lingering laws were declared unconstitutional). He was AWESOME.

Oh, yes indeed. If it was known that you and your lover were very special friends, the cops could bust in and try to 'catch' you, and arrest you if they did.

Not tonight, honey. It's a felony.

Yeah, two dudes having anal was illegal in Texas until 2003.

*fact-vomit*
Texas also is the state with the highest execution rate since 1976, so I'm fairly certain they rather suck over there.
*ahem* I'm sorry. I do that sometimes.
*pops back into rabbit hole*

Those were both rather divine for just one noble moment. Stopping of for a moment to be super again, you both did a terrific job in a pink, slightly special way.

My, my, my! Quite a passionate moment there. Your art is showing steady improvement! Mxdp's stuff always makes me smile; nice coloring there.

Must look up that book, thanks for bringing it to our notice.

Yay learning digital stuff!
Gay New York is excellent! I cannot recommend it highly enough to everyone here! I read it in one of my first classes freshman year in college and that class (decidedly including that book) recruited me to gender studies. Rock on!
