Please see Friday's post for full rules. These should be drabbles of 100 words exactly or a five minute sketch.

Bonus round:
April Fool's Day
Show me the funny!! (or the slightly depressing as Bertie gets suckered into something awful AGAIN! or - heaven forfend - the shocking, maybe the paragon himself getting pranked??!)

I doubt my heart factually stopped, but it did seem so.

“Jeeves? What’s this?”

“That would be my notice, Sir.”

“Your what? Why?”

“Lady Agatha offered me a butlership, Sir.”

My heart seemed to treble its rhythm to make up for the previous laziness: I forgot Etonian dignity and threw my arms around Jeeves’ neck, sobbed “I can’t live without you,” and kissed him.

In the ensuing events, the notice slipped my mind. It was only two hours later, as we smoked together, our naked limbs intertwined, that he whispered “I trust you weren’t annoyed by that April’s fool, Sir.”

Did Bertie really think Jeeves would go work for aunt A.? He's so gullible, but I guess it works for him here :)

He didn't really *think*; just imagining for a second that it might be true was enough to make him a bit irrational :).

I find myself wondering whether Jeeves was at all surprised by Bertie's reaction, or whether he planned it that way all along. ;)

Jeeves figured out his young Master's slow cerebellum needed an outside jolt to figure out his real feelings. He was, I think, pleasantly surprised by such a lively reaction :).

Sorry, double drabble. I just couldn’t get it in one

“A letter sir. From Reverend Pinker.” Jeeves held out the burnished tray. “Not trouble, I hope.”

“Merely a desperate plea that I rush out to… how should one pronounce this? Pen-man-war, do you think?”

“Penmaenmawr, sir. I believe the name is Welsh.“

“Right ho, Jeeves. Stinker requires my strong right arm to rescue him from …” Bertram Wooster held out the letter “Give it a look, Jeeves, Does that say goblins or golfers?”

“Most improbable, either way, sir.”

“Especially as I saw him lunching at the Drones. Also, while the missive came today, you may note the date.”

Ah. April 1st. Well spotted, sir. So I will not be packing for a sudden rush to the north?”

“Ah contraire, my man. You must send for the car at once! The plea of an old school chum is a sacred duty!”

“Even when said duty will require a week or more motoring though the mountainous backroads, with little expectation that the supposed victim will be present when you arrive?”

Bertie smiled. “A week each way, spend sharing cramped quarters in tiny, remote Inns which offer but a single guest room.”

Jeeves bent into the kiss. “I shall pack at once, sir.”

Oh, Bertie, you are so very self-sacrificing. *snerk*

Yes, always willing to bend over backwards for his fellow man.
(Or is that front-wards... and for his... 'man'.)

I suspect where Jeeves is concerned, Bertie's willing to just bend over, any which way. ;)

Let's just 'round it up' and say that the chap is... somewhat bent. LOL
