What ho, what ho, what ho!

For everyone on Facebook, there is a competition at the PBS page for favourite Masterpiece Theatre character. They're well underway and both Jeeves and Bertie have been doing well. Right now, the current vote is between Mr. Darcy and Lady Violet. I'm not sure how often they are updating the battle, so you may need to keep checking in.

"Like" the PBS page and then view the comments for the status update for the current contest. Then "like" the comment that names the character you have chosen. You may well have to click the "view previous comments" to get to the actual comments you are meant to "like."

I'd like to do this, but it is such a confusing mess. Why can't they just have a poll app or something? :(

Perhaps PBS gets more funding for each time someone "likes" something on Facebook? Stranger things have happened. Are you having trouble with Facebook or my instructions above? I can walk you through their rather rummy system if you'd like.

Ooooo... Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock is currently beating Julia McKenzie's Miss Marple 2:1. Yay Sherlock!

So... you like someone's comment mentioning who you like? What if they list a combination of characters you don't want to vote for? It's just a mess. How would they even keep track of thousands of comments with different combinations of characters? Unless I am not understanding how it works, which is possible (probable, in fact.)

Ah... no. Not quite. There is a vote post that is between just 2 characters. (Right now Sherlock vs Marple.) Click on the "view all 110 comments" in the blue section (or however many comments it is by the time you look.) This takes you to a fuller screen of comments. There, near the top of the blue section you'll see "view previous comments." Click on that until you reach the first comment (This may take several clicks.) Once you get to the beginning, the first two comments should be clearly marked as for Sherlock or for Marple. You like the one comment for the person for whom you are voting.

There are other posts that say who has won against whom and what battles are comming up next, but there should only be one for the given vote.
