...sorry about this, but I just found a bit of a fic on my computer, in with my own fic but which I don't remember writing. Does anyone know of a fic which begins like
Ask any of my friends, and they'll tell you that Bertram Wilberforce Wooster is a generous sort of chap. Ask the ones I was at school with when they're sufficiently oiled and they might just tell you which part of my anatomy I tended to be generous with. To put it bluntly, this Wooster's rear end gave considerable pleasure to many.
because if not, I probably did write it and should have a bash at finishing it.
Second thing is that not long ago I read a fic and can't remember much about it, but want to read it again so it will *leave me alone*. Does anyone else get that? An idea or a scene that will sit in your head annoying you until you re-read it or write it, as appropriate? Like having the chorus of a song stuck in your head and only being able to shift it by listening to the whole song. Er, anyway, it's a fic in which Jeeves cries because he thinks he can be detached while getting personal, but can't. I had a poke around on delicious, but couldn't find it there. Which is annoying as if it's an old one that'll be where I got it from...

Date: 2009-10-18 03:24 am (UTC)If no-one else recognises it I think you're safe to assume it's your own to work on - if it turns out you're wrong at least you've done due diligence in trying to figure it out!
How can you forget, though, whether you wrote something or not!? My own writing sits in my brain forever like a really boring speech I've had to learn. I'd love to read something of mine and have no memory of writing it!
