When I joined the comm I leafed back a few pages and saw the post about the manga series based on Jeeves and Wooster. Fortunitly, my local Japanese bookstore had it. Anyway, I made a few icons from it. Feel free to have them if you want.






Anyway, the request, can anyone recc any fiction that is slash and involves alot of cuddling? Also, pointers to where one might be able to find some of the more explicit fic would be lovely, esp. if it involves Bertie being submissive. Thanks.

Say, what's this book called? Is it a doujinshi, or is it an original book? What are the main guys called?

I kinda like the look of J&W as bishonen. It's a bit surreal.

It's called 'Puriizu, jiivusu' or 'Please, Jeeves'.

It's an offical manga. Though, if doujin are made of it I want some. It says Hana to Yume Comics Special on it, so it might be a one shot as opposed to ongoing. It says, in romanji, 'The Inimitable Jeeves' on the first page. Jeeves is 'jiivusu' and Bertie is 'baati', Wooster seems to be 'uusutaa'. Jeeves usually calls Bertie 'goshujinsama' as opposed to 'uusutaasan'.

And it's ongoing. In addition to the first volume, I actually bought the August 2008 issue of Melody where it has the adaptation of Jeeves Takes Charge.

Also, shameless plug pretty much any Jooster I write will have mancuddling at some point. Most notably Jeeves and the Bed For Two (http://community.livejournal.com/indeedsir/639285.html), although it's really more like hurt/comfort. That tag might also be a good way to look, ESPECIALLY this rec thread (http://community.livejournal.com/indeedsir/506390.html?nc=9) which has some untagged h/c.

Tags are your friend. Rating: NC-17 and R will get you Explicit. Most of that has Jeeves topping (much to my chagrin).

For cuddles, look up Pairing: Bertie/Jeeves and a lower rating.

Or youofwales's The Matter of Bed (http://community.livejournal.com/indeedsir/109063.html) goes along similar vein. Then, skyblue_reverie's series, starting with The Matter of Mr Wooster's Headaches (http://skyblue-reverie.livejournal.com/2875.html), is a classic adult rated submissive Bertie material. To be frank, though, broad jooster fiction inquiries rather strike me as impracticable requests, for one could easily end up recommending pretty much all that's been written.

Where have you been looking? In Japanese bookstores, manga are organized by publisher. This one is by Hakusensha. Also, it's available off of amazon.co.jp, but shipping charges from Japan tend to be unhappy.

I'm going to do the shameless pimping: I don't think I've written more than one fic rated lower than R (explicit) and no non-slash. Bwa ha ha. Because they got me started reading Jeeves&Wooster, and I feel they're perfect to entice you into the fandom :)
