You guys know The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? The book that takes old English and American novels and crosses them over in an eerie way?

This is the Jeeves & Wooster part of it.

One of the Great Old Ones (extraterrestrial, brain-napping sort of chap), visits aunt Dahlia at Brinkley Court and tries to steal Bertie's brain.

If this sort of thing is up your alley, you might want to try and track down a copy of Scream For Jeeves: A Parody by P.H. Cannon and illustrated by J.C. Eckhardt. (ISBN 0-940-88460-7) It contains three stories, Cats, Rats and Bertie Wooster, Something Foetid, and The Rummy Affair of Young Charlie, as well as The Adventure of Three Anglo-American Authors: Some Reflections on Conan Doyle, P.G. Wodehouse and H.P. Lovecraft.

I found it to be quite a hoot.

It may be easier for some to track down The Lovecraft Papers (http://www.amazon.com/Lovecraft-Papers-P-H-Cannon/dp/156865202X) by P.H. Cannon. The second part of that collection is Scream For Jeeves while the first part is a bit of a mess with Sherlock Holmes and Houdini and whatnot. Bertie is amazingly Bertie, but he has a tendency to black out like a swooning girl and come to after Jeeves has dealt with or merely witnessed the tentacled side of it all.

As a heads up, I actually started work on Lovecraft-tinted Jeeves and Wooster fic a while back. I Sort of put it on the back-burner when this Educational Tour business came up, but there's still a good chance it may see the light of day (or the internet, anyhow) yet.

Thanks for sharing, that was entertaining. Since the time periods overlap, Lovecraft plus Jeeves seems like a tempting crossover.
