Hello all, how are you?
In all your respective areas in all respective situations I hope all is well or at least tolerable.

Does anyone know of any fics revolving around the episode "Jeeves the Matchmaker" of the second series? I was thinking of writing one of my own, involving adoption of a kid (between Jeeves and Bertie of course) and was just wondering if someone had beat me to it. I suspect someone has, which won't really hinder my efforts but am curious about nonetheless.

I am still working on my story "None the Wooster" (if anyone recognizes the title) but have been experiencing the absolute WORST writer's block EVER.
If capitalizing isn't enough I'll say this to make it even more terribly and hopelessly clear, I haven't written a single word in weeks and weeks!
I'm hoping a new story on the side will rekindled whatever it is that kindles in a writer's mind.
If it wasn't official before (and I know all you fine people, the writers at least, can relate to this) its official now: WRITER'S BLOCK IS THE WORST THING IN THE WORLD!

Thank you for your time, let me know if anyone knows of such a fic. Cheers.

I haven't seen any fics based on that episode/story. There's been maybe a few that mentioned some of the events in it in passing, but that's all.

Good luck with overcoming the writer's block. :)

I'm not sure if Bertie would be allowed to adopt a child (Jeeves would have nothing to do with it), it would depend on the laws of the day. You might want to do some research. Mind you, there is nothing to stop him from having a distant relative or friend who asked him to take care of the child. I'm sure that sort of thing happened.

Don't worry about writer's block. It may be frustrating, but it will go away eventually. It may be better if you don't try to force it, because that will just annoy you and make it hard to concentrate. Perhaps you could interest yourself in other creative things, such as playing chess or doing different and unusual crosswords, not like the usual kind. Someone gave me a book of different types of crosswords, some of which make me think in different ways, and apply logic in different ways. I am really enjoying them. :-)

I don't remember any fics. like that. Writer's block is horrible. I've stared at a blank Word doc. often. Sometimes it helps to write out of order, write something ahead of where you are at now. Or write an outline of what is to take place to give you an idea of how the next part goes. If you have someone to talk to about the story that might help. Or re-reading what you've already written. In my case, it always helps if I write anything at all, even something I know I'll probably delete later. I hope you find something that works for you. I wish you the best with this!

Jeeves was completely opposed to Bertie adopting a little girl in "Bertie Changes His Mind" (the only story, so far as I know, in canon which is narrated by Jeeves), but I had thoughts about them possibly adopting a little boy related to Jeeves, because I figured if one of his relatives asked Jeeves to take care of a kid he wouldn't turn them down. I talked about it but didn't write it.

I don't exactly know, but he was. Maybe it was that Bertie had set his heart on having a little girl in that story, and Jeeves might be more amenable to a boy. I think it was the disruption of his routine, though, and the possibility of having to hire a governess, and probably move to a bigger flat. It's really a lot of change, which of course Bertie wasn't thinking about at all.

"Bertie Changes His Mind" is in "The World of Jeeves" and is totally worth checking out if only for the Jeeves narration.
