When I joined the comm I leafed back a few pages and saw the post about the manga series based on Jeeves and Wooster. Fortunitly, my local Japanese bookstore had it. Anyway, I made a few icons from it. Feel free to have them if you want.

Anyway, the request, can anyone recc any fiction that is slash and involves alot of cuddling? Also, pointers to where one might be able to find some of the more explicit fic would be lovely, esp. if it involves Bertie being submissive. Thanks.

I am my partner's caregiver and the past few days have been exceptionally difficult as far as pain and illness. I apologize if this is inappropriate, but any and all thoughts for her would be greatly appreciated. I'll be answering the rest of those challenges soon.

Title: Interruptus
Pairing: Jeeves/Wooster, established
Summary: Bertie and Jeeves find themselves interrupted during a rather private time. Beward that this fic doesn't even speak the same language as Plot.
Rating: R, probably.
Words: 727
Disclaimer: There's utterly no possible way that I own this or am making money from it.

Also, slight fic challenge. The other night I had a dream in which Stiffy convinced Bertie to house Harold in the guest room for some reason. One day, during a luncheon visit from Stiffy, the engaged couple slipped off to the guest room. Bertie began to hear unusual noises coming from that direction and insisted on investigating, until Jeeves explained everything (in moderate detail, due to Bertie's endless questioning). Later that night, it led to the two of them making their own noises.

Anyone willing to turn my (fairly strange) dream into a fic?

that when Bertie gets a bit choked up and tells Jeeves 'there is none like you, none' he is actually quoting a romantic passage from Tennyson's poem Maude? Or almost - the actual quote is 'there is none like her, none', and the line is repeated a few times.

Well, that bit of info got me all excited, so I just had to share!

Here's a link to the article that alerted me to the fact:
www.guardian.co.uk/books/2002/dec/14/classics.pgwodehouse

Here's a link to the Tennyson poem (it's a long one)
tennyson.classicauthors.net/PoemsOfAlfredLordTennyson/PoemsOfAlfredLordTennyson23.html

And just because I love it so much, here's the whole PGW quote from Very Good, Jeeves:

"Jeeves," I said--and I am not ashamed to confess that there was a spot of chokiness in the voice, "there is none like you, none."
"Thank you very much, sir."

And the alternative from Thank You, Jeeves, for Bertie utters this phrase to Jeeves more than once:

"Jeeves," I said, and if there were tears in the eyes, what of it? We Woosters are not afraid to confess honest emotion, "there is none like you, none."
"It is extremely kind of you to say so, sir."
"It was all I could do to keep from leaping out and shaking your hand."

Yes, that's right. It was all he could do to stop himself from leaping out and ... shaking Jeeves's hand. Yeah.

Anyway, hope you all got a bit of a kick out of this.

There's several version of the J&W novels in audio book form, but Jonathan Cecil reads them best, IMHO. He's got the voices down perfectly.

And I included a zipped version of "Carry On Jeeves", which consists of 10 short stories, the last one being from Jeeves's POV rather than Bertie's, which is a really interesting perspective.

The article [livejournal.com profile] bertiebwriting posted has dashed my hopes of seeing the Dennis Price and Ian Carmichael version of Jeeves and Wooster (no fault of hers, of course!). Since my chances of seeing even that one surviving episode are decidedly slim, I decided to go to Youtube to see if I could at least get some idea of what the fellows had sounded like. What I found was this: The opening titles of World of Wooster.

Hello, everyone!

Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I come bearing art! It isn't Jeeves/Bertie, but it DOES have Jeeves in it! And probably there will be Jeeves/Bertie to come, if the way they're taking over my brain is any indication >_> At any rate, mods please tell me if this isn't allowed...I'm asuuming it is, because of the presense of Jeeves, but if it isn't I apologize profoundly.

Title: Jeeves and Giles
Pairing: No pairing, but it is a Buffy The Vampire Slayer crossover
Summary: Rupert Giles and Reginald Jeeves, my two favorite stuffy British gentlemen ^_^
Rating: G
Words: Giles is a character from Buffy and Jeeves is obviously from Jeeves and Wooster, both wonderful shows/books with very little in common. Jeeves looks like he's vaguely distressed at the rumpled state of Giles's clothes, while Giles looks very slightly surprised to have a fictional character living and breathing in front of him. Mind you, he fights singing demons, so he woudn't be THAT surprised. Par for the course on the Hellmouth. It's funny though. I can't see Giles as a valet (he's too absentminded) but I can easily see Jeeves fighting vampires. And kicking all kinds of ass. Because he is awesome like that.
Disclaimer: I own neither of these lovely characters

I feel like these are my worst captions yet, but you guys always seem to like them anyway and I'm too tired to tell anymore, lol. But I apologize in advance if they're really bad. XD
