Hello, All,

I'm so sorry I haven't update any Medicinal Skirts stories, but I just recently found my notes and am anxious to take off again soon. There is just one thing though: I do have quite a list of skirts and have looked around for more ideas (via Google), but the list still feels.... short. SO, I would love to hear of any ideas or requests from you all.
Here is what I have:
  • Waiter(ess)
  • Hula/Grass
  • Princess
  • Dutch-maid
  • Clown
  • Boy-player
  • Hoop
  • Tunic/skirt (medieval)
  • Cancan
  • Kilt
  • Gladiator
  • India (think Bollywood)
  • School girl (I hesitate to use this one)
You see my dilemma? Despite searching through "sexy costumes" on the internet they are all either to modern for Jeeves and Wooster or they're a male profession turned femme fantasy.

BTW! Search "male skirt" on Google. You are in for a treat! (I look forward to the equaling sexes)

Anything you do will be fabulous... those stories are really fun. You could have Bertie in a sort of Jeeves uniform outfit, but with a short skirt rather than pin-striped trousers.

Oh baby! Yes. Actually, I think I'm going to get this outfit and just casually wear it to work, because if I want to look like a cross dressing valet I will, damn it!

Jeeves advises that you use appropriate undergarments (and garters)...

Wow, you're right about the man skirts! I'm a bigger fan than I thought I would be. It's not like I don't ever see guys in skirts, but mostly in Maine they seem to be doing it to get attention, not just because they really think it's comfy, and they usually choose things that aren't really all that flattering. I saw a guy the other day in a blue and yellow sarong, open up the side to show his leg, and I didn't really think that worked for him. But, then again, I'm not that big a fan of skirts in general; I rarely wear them, myself. I could more see myself in some of these man skirts than in girly skirts. I'm not a very girly girl. I have been somewhat more comfortable in skirts at times previous in my life, before I had to wear a unisex uniform every work day the past ten years.

Utila-kilts are big here in the NW, they're sort of like...cargo skirts. They're cool in that they don't look weird on manly-men, but they're also not all OH HEY I'M A KILT, I'M PLAID. Just, a suggestion, if you have any male friends in the market...and they have pockets!

I have located the official website, which can be found here: http://www.utilikilts.com/ . The photos are all really overly masculine, so maybe that will work? I don't know much about the south.... but yah, happy to help!

upon further inspection, I see that there is a tuxedo model! that sounds like something Jeeves wouldn't approve of in the least!

I just went and read those stories -- those were excellent! (And Florence was totally in character!) I agree with your hesitation on the school girl skirt (kind of over done and squicky, I think, although each to their own).

There's always ancient Greek men's chiton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiton_(costume)) (with lots of connotations about drinking parties and the original Ganymede of course).

Been off lj for a while, so ignore me if I'm repeating somebody else.
1960's Star Trek Uniform min-skirt?
You ever see Disney's Zorro from 1950-60's? The women had these pants that were so big they looked like skirts, so they could be ladylike but still ride horses.
Or the short version, skorts? from the 90's, shorts with a flap in front to make it look like a skirt.
In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, at the quidach cup final, they are standing in line for the water spigot and the man in front of them is wearing a woman's flowered dress 'because he likes a nice, healthy breeze around his privates' Not a skirt exactly, but it be funny to have somebody tell Bertie he needed a healthy breeze so he starts wearing MooMoos or something. Actually, men in Hawaii sometimes wear floral patterned wrap around skirts, not just the grass skirt ones. And the grass skirt ones can also be made out of thick and wide leaves, like if Bertie were stranded on an island for two hours without Jeeves.
