Hello! Stephen will be performing in the Shakespearian comedy Twelth Night as Malvolio at the Globe (I think that's already sold out) and at the Apollo Theatre in London, from the 2nd of November 2012 to the 3rd of February 2013.
Might it be an idea for those interested to go to purchase tickets on the same day (say a Saturday in November) and meet up and have a stroll through Mayfair and have a drink/meal together before going to the theatre?
Because
1. Jeeves would approve since it's Shakespeare.
2. Jooster needs love :D
3. We will see Stephen in his element, acting.
I hope some of you are interested, it would be jolly nice to meet up with some people. :D
Here's some more info: One of the (many) sites to purchase tickets
I'm pretty sure it will be sold out very soonish. So please let each other know!
EDIT: How does November 24th sound?

Date: 2012-02-29 10:30 pm (UTC)Yeah I think it is to deal with spam bots, so posts have to queue before accepted, but I had never seen one of these 'errors' so I got a little impatient *blush* :P

I shall think it over the next days. Preferably, before the sold-out sign pops up...
I guess, the theater tickets will be the most expensive part of the journey x_X" Did you go to that particular theater before? How far from the stage can one seat without having to use binoculars to follow the play? XD Also, why the hell don't they accept paypal? *going to dig out the old visa card - it has to be somewhere in the flat...*
If you don't mind, I'll PN you later so as not to spam the comm any further :)
P.S.: A few years ago I totally fell in love with Amsterdam <3 (oh yes, travel is tun. If only money & time weren't always such an issue :/)

Date: 2012-03-02 01:09 pm (UTC)I'm going for balony tickets which are 32 pounds. I'm pretty sure all will be smallish to see, but it won't be too bad. You'll be able to make out the different actors, though I think bringing binoculairs is a good idea :-)
For me the journey and accomodation is going to be the most expensive, but I'll travel with easyjet or Ryanair. Probably a youth hostel to stay in ;-)
I think we are with four people now. I'll email you all with some details and possible dates.
I hope you can find your visa card!!!!
Think it over :))))

Don't you need some sort of card to stay in youth hostel or so? o.O
I'm a bit unsure if it would be best to buy the flight tickets now of to wait for a last-minute-offer, which is way cheaper that the regular prize. Hm. You're welcome to post about that airplane companies a bit more, I'm quite unsatisfied at the offers I'd seen so far.
Also, are they by any chance some of the Londoners to show us trough the city a bit? :)
(It's not a 'yes' so far, I just want to have it planed before finally deciding.)

Date: 2012-03-07 11:53 am (UTC)As far as I know you don't need a card to stay in a youth hostel. Most chambers are available from 25 pounds per night, so that's not really expensive. I was thinking of booking here http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodation/london/hostels/london_central/index.aspx
I think I will book as soon as available, but I think tickets to London are always available last minute. But which is cheaper? Mmh not really sure :/ You could also go by train, you can travel during the night and sometimes it's even cheaper than flying.
I've been to London before and I know my way a little across the city lol, I can show you from Parlement to Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace to Mayfair xD
But I know cool bits to hang out :)
Let me know your email adress to I can add you to the mailing list. Mine is gini.baggins@gmail.com
Oh by the way, the canals are cool :D this year we were able to ice skate on them (well not me) :P

Date: 2012-03-07 09:27 pm (UTC)Sorry for not answering in time, I had two deadlines this week and got a bit distracted. March is going to be a bit stressful for me, so I was hoping to fully attend to the matter in April - I'll have plenty free time there to decide on when and how without some naughty exams and labs breathing down my neck :)
I take you at your word for showing me around >D If someday you're gonna visit my place, I can return the favour :)
re: skating - neither can I... but I admire the view, thanks for the vid :P
(and, oh my gosh, someone was suicidal enough to still ride the bicycle.. as much as I love the vehicle - not on ice o.O")
