To note Armistice Day/Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day, I was hoping that you guys would rec me your favorite war-related fics. I know I've already read a lot of them, but there's always a chance I missed something brilliant, and there's so many different takes on how it happened (or didn't happen) in Wodehouse's world that I never get tired of reading them.

I don't know if you've read mine, but here they are if you haven't:

Green Ice (http://archiveofourown.org/works/255163) -- Wooster has a reputation for pinching things--necklaces, amber statuettes, umbrellas--a reputation that becomes dashedly awkward when Lord Attenbury's emeralds go missing. (Crossover with Lord Peter Wimsey by Dorothy Sayers.)

Armistice (http://adina-atl.livejournal.com/103611.html) -- It was a sunny day in November. (The sequel to "Green Ice," which is as complete as it will ever be.)

Please read all ratings, warnings, etc. in fic headers.

Remembrance Sunday (When You Sleep You Remind Me of the Dead) (http://archiveofourown.org/works/64740) by thirstyrobot (Mercy) - "Bertie and Jeeves in the trenches, 1918."

Time and Again by [livejournal.com profile] dark_eyed_seer: Part 1 (http://dark-eyed-seer.livejournal.com/51820.html), Part 2 (http://dark-eyed-seer.livejournal.com/52936.html), Part 3 (http://dark-eyed-seer.livejournal.com/53616.html) - "Another possible result of that blasted bike ride." The references to the war don't appear until Part 3.

Three linked fics by [livejournal.com profile] dark_eyed_seer: Bedlam (http://dark-eyed-seer.livejournal.com/8848.html), Ether (http://dark-eyed-seer.livejournal.com/16235.html), Delirium (http://dark-eyed-seer.livejournal.com/47613.html) - "Takes place directly after 'Sir Roderick Comes to Lunch.'" References to the war don't appear until the second installment. I believe there was another part intended but never realised. Nevertheless, an engaging story.

Such Innocence Again (http://archiveofourown.org/works/241714) by DoctorSyntax - "As Lt. George nears the end of his life, Bertie Wooster begins his." Crossover with Blackadder.

(By the way, I wholeheartedly recommend Green Ice and Armistice!)

Thanks for those recs!

It's certainly not brilliance, but I've written a war related ficlet you might enjoy.

Jeeves and the Mares of the Night. (http://gini-baggins.livejournal.com/98149.html#cutid1)

You are probably referring to the Great War, but Troubled Times (http://indeedsir.livejournal.com/296260.html) by [livejournal.com profile] emeraldreeve is one of my favourites. :)

late, and not actually Armstice Day fic...

But on the kinkmeme someone prompted a Jeeves who will happily remove all clothing but his socks, and that it's because he got trench foot in the war and now has nasty feet, so it's kinda War-related.
