Mar. 22nd, 2011 12:41 pmWhat ho! I have been reading The Mating Season for the first time in several years and I noticed something I had forgotten. Does it strike anyone else as odd/interesting/wonderful that Bertie consistently refers to Jeeves' uncle Charlie Silversmith (the butler at Deverill Hall) as "Uncle Charlie" throughout this book?

Date: 2011-03-22 09:17 pm (UTC)It has been about five years since I read all the books, and, you see, those were the days before I got my prescription for my slash goggles. So reading it all through again is a whole new adventure!
When I read that part today, I giggled for about fifteen minutes straight. I love how Bertie treats Uncle Charlie almost exactly as if he is one of his own aunts.
