I bring you two art thingummies I drew because the weather here is so nice and wintry :)





Bertie goes ice skating, and of course Jeeves will have to come too for moral support... I find it fascinating how lightly people in the 1920s used to dress during winter-time!

Those are adorable. Also they've probably got like 3 layers of wool on. Clothes, particularly Jeeves' and Bertie's, were a lot higher quality back then.

Annnd now I'm thinking about the invention of synthetic fabrics and polyester and how much Bertie would have loved a leisure suit. And how much Jeeves would have hated them.

Thanks! Yeah, that's what I figured too. And I guess British winters aren't so very cold? It was just so silly to look at the reference pictures where people were going around in knee-lenght trousers during winter! :D

Leisure suits are horrible D: Jeeves' hate would be totally justified :')

I'm happy you liked the last one, I always struggle on these kinds of drawings because I don't really know how much I should reveal to the watcher.. I was a bit afraid that Bertie's plan wouldn't be clear (or, on the other hand, that I was underlining the point too much as I tend to do) :')

True! It's quite common here to have -30 °C temperature, and still I see people walking around without hats or mittens! It boggles my mind..

Believe me, I'd love to draw lots more J/W art and I have many drawings on hold atm - the problem is (as it always is) that I'm lacking the time to finish them :C
But I should have some free time in a month or so, and I'm hoping I can finally finish those projects I've started! Like illustrating one very splendid fic.. B)

I was just going to comment on how lightly people dress today, and I walked to the library in 35-degree F weather and didn't wear a coat.
