I'm back, sort of. My inspiration fizzled out a few months ago, so I was off exploring other fandoms, and working on original art for the first time in I don't even know how long. Now I feel ready to do some fanart again. Still low on ideas, but at least the urge to create has returned.

I really enjoyed doing silhouettes, so this time here's an actual cut-paper one.

(Just in case it's not clear, they're playing Monopoly.)
Edit: I suppose I didn't need to mention that, considering it's in the picture description thingy. Duh.

These are fun to do, so if anyone has suggestions for more, feel free to mention them. :)

And this is why Jeeves manages Bertie's accounts... ;)

DOES Jeeves manage Bertie's accounts?

I don't know if it's canon, but Bertie most likely would not manage his own money. In "reality" he'd probably have an accountant and a financial expert to deal with it all. Jeeves, though, would likely handle the day to day financial affairs of the household.

That's what I thought. Just checking to see if you knew something I didn't.

I recall in the books Jeeves settling accounts and mentioning the household budget, so yes :) I think, usually, a servant (such as the Butler or Housekeeper, someone at the top of the line) might pay bills and such if you trusted them, and you'd hire an accountant for the big things- but Bertie's attitude is Leave it to Jeeves! So I'm not surprised that he handles all of the funds, as a wife might- especially since it's not a house, but a single master and servant.

"Single" is such a relative word...

The wife bit, yeah, totally. ^_~

Sometimes you just need a break for sanity's sake. You gotta do what you gotta do, and I'm glad to see you back.

Haha, what a cute idea. How intricate as well!

If you really want a cut-paper challenge, maybe an autumn scene with scarves with tasseled ends? :D

You know what I like? I like that Jeeves' back isn't touching his chair. His posture is perfect.

Of course, Bertie is handing money over to Jeeves. I wouldn't expect it to go any other way.

Jeeves would know all the answers, but he'd find the "phrase the answer in the form of a question" rule ridiculous.

Great to see more of you!
Poor Bertie, he seems resigned already.
Love the random art-deco-y ceiling fixture.
With that precision in cutting, you could be a surgeon...

This is a beautiful picture! I love how it almost looks like they're going to clasp hands... Except, of course, it's actually just Bertie handing over a bit of rent. And let me guess... Jeeves totally has a hotel on Boardwalk, right?

Actual-factual cut paper? As in, with an exact-o knife? How the devil do you know want to kill yourself on those?

Moreover, you did this INSANELY WONDERFULLY. Unexpected at this point, really, but, damn! This is terribly adorable and sweet and the exact reason I adore you.

I don't suppose there's anywhere one can check out your original works?
