That was hilarious and quite perfect for this community, I think. Thanks for sharing. I really think the Bertie-ish-ness of the master here really added some extra enjoyment to the sketch for me.

(Coincidentally, just this evening I saw a commercial for “That Mitchell and Webb Look” on BBC America and wondered if I should watch it some time. I don’t think I’d ever heard of the pair before today, so I’m amused by the perfect timing of this post.)

I wondered about that too! Maybe “that housemaid” took care of the finances? Or he paid Steve the Butler a stipend sugar-daddy-style, and Steve just assumed it was his salary.
