Portrait + Golf

Hullo!

It's been such a long time since I've done any serious portrait-stuff, so I was REALLY rusty. First I was going to draw Jeeves, but I couldn't find any good reference so I drew Bertie instead.

I'd love to draw Jeeves, so if anyone has a nice pic of him that I could use as a reference... I'd be most grateful!


I dunno how clear it is, but Jeeves is supposed to be staring at Bertie's behind. :')

To me, the first one looks like Bertie is pipped, as if Jeeves has made a disapproving remark about his hat. I especially like the set of his jaw and the deliciously long lines of his neck.

The second one is just plain sweet, what with Jeeves eyeballing the young master and Bertie looking as if knows precisely what his valet is doing.

Wow, both are so beautifully done! Excellent shading on the first one, and the second is just...♥ I love the colors, and the pen/watercolor combination, and the scene. I can't stop staring at it!

I have a gazillion pictures of Jeeves I'd be glad to send to you. Is there anything particular you have in mind as far as angle/expression/whatever, or will anything do?

You should be an illustrator. If you're not one already ^^ I will come to you for illustrations if I ever write that children's book I've been wanting to write forever ^^
