I just had to share my ridiculous fangirling over recent events, so here's what happened.

Today at my English Grammar seminar group, the teacher wanted examples of sentences to analyze. What sprang to mind for yours truly? A few quote favourites from old Plum himself, namely:
"And Jeeves, no matter his moral defects, would never go about in skirts calling me Bertie." (this makes me want to write drag!Jeeves fic)
"Something must be done about this sex, or the whole fabric of Society will collapse and then what silly asses we shall all look." (a little misogynist, Bertie, but we forgive you)

And we analyzed them. I'm still in squee.

ETA: AND I FORGOT! Our lecturer says we should always remember "fanboys," if we want to get our linking devices straight. For, and, because, or, yet, so. FANBOYS! Made me giggle even harder ^^

*snerk* I just love Plum's way with words.

Bertie's allowed to be intimidated by women. So many gay men are. 0;)

ohh, you too with the drag-writing inspiration! That's got to be one of my favourite quotes. When I first read it I let out a great yell and said 'Never, Mr. W? This smells of a challenge!'

Oh, maybe he has to play Mrs. Wooster to stop some VERY determined Swedish miss from getting her hooks in Jeeves' blue-eyed beau.

In wonderful and mysterious ways, I say. Look how brilliantly creative and passionate we are.

From experience I will tell you that writing Bertie in drag is a great deal of fun. I'll bet [livejournal.com profile] waqaychay will agree with me. Writing Jeeves in drag, well, the rewards would be great.

Writing Jeeves in drag is nigh-impossible when he's not playing out a role to dissuade a fiancee. Also from experience.
