What ho!

I have been enjoying this community in silence for some time now - and I have been astounded by the level of talent on show here!

You have inspired me to lower the overall greatness a fraction by writing my own Jeeves and Wooster fic - which should be completed soon. As I am experiencing brain freeze on the fic front I decided to make some icons from the excellent screencaps provided by queen_fiend . Hope you like and please feel free to take (comments would be lovely if you do).

And so to the request - as mentioned my first fic in this fandom should be finished soon and I was wondering if anyone here would beta read for me? The Wodehouse voice is really tricky! It will be a medium-longish fic, friendship/pre-slash, finished by next weekend (probably - I hope making this request gives me the nudge I need to finish the blighter!)? Would be eternally grateful if anyone is up for giving it a read over.

I finally got the DVDs of the series (squee!), so I'm looking forward to getting screencaps for art refs. *So* much easier than The Dim Times, when one set up a 35mm camera on a tripod in front of the TV/VCR and took telepics which then had to be developed. :-) Luckily, in my last fandom, a nephew worked at a photo-developing store, so I got that part done at a hefty discount. But now, oh, the luxury! A series on DVD, and Power DVD with its little camera button! *g* Mind you, the one drawback is that a good VHS tape recorded at 2-hr speed on a 4-6 head machine could get about half again as many clear, still shots out of a few seconds of still frames. (Especially with a tracking adjustment function just for pause and frame-advance modes.) With DVD, there are fewer frames that are usable/in focus. I frequently see just the shot/angle I need in Super Wobble Mode or not in focus. *grumble* But the ease of capturing shots makes up for it.

don't know if it is of any use to you - but i use SnagIt 9 to cap my dvds - just haven't got around to doing any j/w ones yet - allows pretty quick capturing in small space of time

Thanks! I don't mind the ol' frame-by-frame advance thing with the screencap button on PowerDVD (compared to telepics, it's a breeze), but should that ever become a problem, I'll check out SnagIt 9 -- thank you for the 411!
