What Ho Everyone!

A fair while ago, I wrote a Jeeves/Bertie story called Jeeves and the Artistic Verisimilitude. I always fancied having a hard copy of it to put on my bookshelf, as it were, so when I came across lulu.com, that seemed a pretty convenient way to print off a single copy and have it nicely bound...

However, much more excitingly(!) the extremely talented [livejournal.com profile] ironicbees agreed to an author-illustrator collaboration for the book. She has produced the most beautiful pieces of art to go with the story, so I urge you to run (don't walk!) to view them in her gallery, here.

Pictures of the finished hard-copy book can be found below the cut...

This is gorgeous. And...and I want one so very much. Are any for sale? -puppy eyes- We could...have a charity drive or something if you feel weird about accepting money? Or we could just give you money, I'd be glad to!

I remember in the late nineties seeing a gorgeous hard-back bound SWars:TPM fanzine filled with exquisite art (from a German fan, I believe). This definitely is another beautiful example. The illustrations are just amazing, as is the whole design.

Thanks so much for the 411! It was #2 I saw at ZebraCon one year; I remember the blue cover. Suzan had bought a copy for the art and I was perusing hers. Sadly, it kind of loses something in the transition to online publishing. There was just something about the weight and visual impact of an actual book in one's hand, and these were so exquisitely done.

P.S. I especially adore the one with Bertie watching dirty pictures, the one with a duck and the last one, where they look at each other with so much love in their eyes, awwww! But they all are brilliant, really :-)

Brilliant. What a wonderful collaboration, and something for you to treasure forever. ♥♥♥

And quite obviously, it would appear your reading & viewing audience would love to join you in treasuring a copy for themselves.

Count me in if extra prints are a viable option! :-D

Btw, I somehow managed to omit the "non-" before the word "professional". It made more sense that way.

The illustrations are nothing short of absolutely beautiful; the shading and detail is impeccable. I know you must get sick of hearing this, but that won't stop me from agreeing that I would, in all seriousness, love to have a copy.
