What ho, chappies and chappesses!
I have been a closet believer in Jeeves and Wooster slash for some time, but I had no idea there was such a strong movement about it and I am now coming to join you!
So. I brought you a question, and a fanfic. I'm going to link straight to fanfic.net, I hope that's not against a rule or anything?

Question: Has anyone read the bit in Comrade Bingo where Bingo says Bertie has a face like a motor mascot? If you have, did you have any idea what on Earth it meant?

Fanfic: This is my first ever Jeeves fic, so I will await any feedback from you seasoned Joosters humbly.

I have the impression that a motor mascot is what I would call a hood ornament, but I'm not very sure about this.

There were plenty of other kinds, though; Jaguar, for example had a - guess what? And I think there was also a company which had a bulldog mascot/hood ornament. I doubt very much whether the Spirit of Ecstasy was intended.

Your Jeeves is hiding from himself. His confusion is quite heart-breaking. I'd like to see a piece like this expanded just a bit just so that I can get even more into Jeeves's great brain. I have trouble doing that when I write so I do like to see it from other authors.

I'd recently posted a possessive!Jeeves fic myself, but I definitely think yours was better written and, more importantly, not written from the perspective of going-insane!Jeeves. Also, it's interesting how it's so hard to tell exactly how Jeeves sees their relationship, because you've got a little bit of everything in there. A little slash, a little surrogate-parent, a little ownership, etc.

RE the Fic: Well, quite a nice first foray into the fandom, I'd say. Nice how it went from pleasantly caring to obsessively controlling tendencies. Well done, there. Creepy, true, but it was nicely handled, IMO.
