So, my (kinda pretentious) dad writes a (kinda pretentious) political column for a local newspaper (that I usually don't read but I did today because i had a long bus ride). He's going on some tangent about how money rots politicians and tax cuts are evil and the rich are still looking to get rich like everyone else and -
Even P. G. Wodehouse, whose fondness for Bertie Wooster and the other Drones was genuine, knew that money then, like money now, is all about consumption.
And then I look through some back issues of the paper and he's referenced or quoted Wodehouse at least three times in the past couple of months. And has used the word "Jeevesian" when talking about complete party loyalty.
I'm going to actually start reading his articles now!
