For those of you who’d enjoy more period music, here's a link to my favorite online station, Radio Dismuke which plays nothing but music from the 1920s-30s. I loooove it.

Three paintings this time:



They’re supposed to be in the Greek Isles, but I had a tough time finding any good reference pictures from that vantage point. It doesn’t matter, you can imagine they’re wherever you want.




I was tired of doing Jeeves in nothing but his uniform, hence the bathing suit. Just pretend they won’t run into anyone they know. ;D

To say this is perfection is to understate criminally. Your art is the definition of Jooster.

The cruise one is so dreamy, and Bertie's white ensemble against Jeeves' black arrests fancy.
Jeeves in the second one disarms with his youth, his lithe body and that peaceful countenance; the detailed scene is very impressive.
The Stiffy picture does give a feeling of an airy English countryside, though perhaps the distant fields could have been a trifle less bright.

Aww, you're far too kind!

I think the brightness is mostly the computer/camera's doing. The original picture isn't as bright or saturated. I tried to get the photo closer to the original without making it look dull & faded, and this was about as good as I could get it. But I do agree I should still have made the background lighter while painting.

I was just looking at pictures of some lovely old postcards today...and these would have fit right in. ♥ Actually, now I wish I DID have postcards like these...^__^;
You use watercolors so neatly as well ¤_¤ (I tend to just splash them around >3>;) and the colors are nicely bright (that water in the first looks delicious). And...the second image is just plain adorable. Yay~ :'D let me look at it again...yup, darn cute ¤3¤ ♥

Thank you! I generally prefer looser looking watercolors, but since I was emulating the graphic arts styles of the time I needed to keep it simple and neat.

I adore Berie's shoes in the first picture. The scene is so warm, peaceful and sweet.
And I think I had a heart attack when I looked at the second one and... Reginald's perfect legs :faints:.
And I love Stiffy's outfit. Very stylish.

Well, the main reason for that is that I have a hard time getting their faces to look right when seen straight on. I didn't intend to create a "casual observer" effect, but yay for happy accidents!
