I've seen a lot of Youtube users create collaborative channels lately, and was wondering whether or not any of you wonderful ladies and gentlemen would be interested in getting in on something like that. We could maybe have it set up with seven users, each one with their own day of the week. One week we could have each person read their favourite piece of Joostery fiction, another week discuss their favourite [or least favourite] ship outside of J/W, another week recall how we first came to be involved in the fandom - that sort of thing. I thought that it'd be a good way for the community to get more involved in projects that we can work on together. [:
Would anyone be interested in this?

I wouldn't be able to join, but it sounds interesting. How would a collaborative channel work? This is the first time I've heard of one.
It also wouldn't be a bad idea to have the same kind of discussion post on LJ.

We would have one 'channel' or 'account', and the seven [or less, depending on how many people would be interested] of us would know the pass word. On our specific day we would upload a video to that account based on the subject of the week. People would be able to subscribe so that they could watch them as they came out.
Yeah, I'm totally for that - I just liked the idea of doing something to get the community more involved in 'group projects'. [:

This sounds like a fun idea, but I don't have a web cam or anything like that, just a computer. I'd like to be involved, but I'm just not sure how.

If you had a digital camera, or had someone you could borrow one from once a week, you could upload it to your computer and post it that way. [: Sometimes libraries have them, that you can rent out.

No worries! Even if we had one channel for the community, and everyone could contribute to that when they felt like it, I think even that would be neat. [:
