Just looking at this picture amuses me.

Marriage service, anyone?

Shucks, no. Jeeves would never wear that to his wedding!

I don't know...I think Jeeves has made his position on children abundantly clear.

I guess you're right- and the poor man has enough trouble, I suppose, making certain that Bertie doesn't put his pants outside his trousers or walk into parked automobiles.

To be perfectly honest, I sometimes wonder how Bertie managed to survive those 24 years before he hired Jeeves.

Ah, what's the saying? God looks after fools and drunks?

And do you know, you've a point there. I don't mean to say, but it is just possible that Bertie pretends to be a good deal thicker than he actually is, merely for the Personal Gentleman's attention.
Ahem.

Hee. That is the saying, I believe, and Bertie is, at different times, both.

Actually, I think Bertie is simply more clever than he give himself credit for. Though your theory is much more interesting.

But no one else gives him much credit, either; the latter could be the result of the former. And he is of course a brilliant writer, at least, whatever he may claim.
And I really like the idea of Bertie submitting himself like that. Should we call it Watson syndrome? :D Side-kick who's actually the one calling the shots?

Dammit, I want to know what they're staring at just off-screen. From the looks of it, it's bloody interesting.

That would explain Jeeves's vaguely-horrified-yet-terribly-amused expression.

"If I may make the suggestion, sir..."

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of these two fine men...
