Excellent chapter. Did snicker at "beat the bishop." Just a bit confused about Bertie in the tub, the climax and all. And who is the mystery woman Bertie saw in her last years and Jeeves didn't? Will this be revealed? I am enjoying this story immensely, by the way.

I changed that part to name Mrs Coote. I also changed the paragraph about Bertie's climax. I hope that makes things clearer. Thank you for pointing out the obscure bits. Please let me know what you think of the new ones :-)

I think it was clear who Jeeves was asking about (he was just thinking of this Mrs Coote, whoever she is, at the end of the previous chapter, after all), and the edited bit rather evens out the importance of this woman to Jeeves and Bertie; there was more drama for Jeeves in the old version.
Bertie's climax didn't confuse me, and though I don't remamber the unedited paragraph too well, 'Mr Wooster shuddering beneath Jeeves' fingers' is delicious.

Quite excellent. This is one of the reasons I'll be glad to have this on one document. That way I can have the pleasure of reading it through from beginning to end.
