So. I want to buy some goldfish. Not necessarily gold. I think I'd like to name them Jeeves and Bertie (though Col and Frank or Maid Marian and Her Merry Men characters, or Red Dwarf characters, or Vince and Howard, are also options). What variety of goldfish do you think would best represent each of them?

I was considering a white one with a red cap and fantail for Bertie. Jeeves would not be approving of his red hat. :P

Lol awesome. Wow I hope I can find goldfish that fit!

I'm also going to get a bunch of little ones, but I'm not sure what fandoms I should name them after or what sorts. :P Maybe they could all be Berties' friends... Having little fishes called Tuppy and Bingo could be awesome!

Buy some extras, goldfish tend to die in the first week, and name the survivors! I see a hyper little orange goldfish as Bertie and a stoic silver Jeeves XD

Yeah I'm worried about that. All I can think to do is name them, hope they live, and then if they do'nt, replace them. And name them the same thing. The first ones are just beta testing. :P

When a fishie of a friend died, and she sadly got a replacement, she asked me for naming advice...she wanted the same names, sort of, but didn't want 'Deathscythe 2'. My suggestion? 'Deathscythe Also'.

bah I'm so torn between names for these fish!! I'm allowed more than just two 'big' goldfish I think! Maybe I'll need to have non matching fandoms in the same tank.
