So, there was someone toying with the idea of Jeeves' being a wizard (and mpreg but let's not go there...) and as my imagination seems to go like 3000 mph this week, I actually wrote five drabbles based on that idea. All dialogue. Crossover with Harry Potter.

Truth

”Jeeves?”
”Yes, sir?”
”I think I have been wrong.”
“Indeed, sir?”
“You don’t sound surprised, Jeeves, now do you?”
“My apologizes, sir. You were saying?”
“That I have been mistaken. You are not a marvel”
“Sir?”
“No. You are a wizard.”
“Indeed, sir.”
“Now, now, don’t try to deny it.”
“I wasn’t, sir. I was merely confirming the fact.”
“So it is true? Because it explains a lot. Take that shimmering for example.”
“Only partly, sir. That is mainly due to candies called ‘Fizzing Whizbees’”
“I didn’t know you like candies, Jeeves.”
“I do, sir. Would you like one?”
“Thank you, Jeeves.”
“…”
“Oh. I say!”
“Precisely, sir.”

Lesson

“I wonder, Jeeves…”
“Sir?”
“Do you use magic when you do your duties?”
“Yes, sir, but only when no one witnesses it.”
“Why is that?”
“There are wizarding laws which forbid the use of magic when any non-magical person is present.”
“But now that I know does it make a difference?”
“Yes, sir.”
“So?”
“Sir?”
“Can you show me?”
“Sir?”
“Some magic. You know, spin the wand and whatnot.”
“Very good, sir.”
“…”
“Does that satisfy you, sir?”
“Jeeves!”
“Sir?”
“That was my favourite tie!”
“I am sorry, sir.”
“Very well, Jeeves. I won’t ask again.”
“Thank you, sir.”

Clock

“I say, Jeeves, that was close!”
“Indeed, sir.”
“If you haven’t been there it would be a very dead Wooster here.”
“Perhaps not, sir.”
“Well, I am grateful that you were nearby.”
“I endeavour to give satisfaction.”
“Yes, quite, but…”
“Sir?
“How did you know where I was? And how did you know I was in danger?”
“I have this, sir.”
“Your pocket-watch?”
“Precisely.”
“I say! Dashed odd. How does it know when I am at home or Drones or elsewhere?”
“I believe it is called magic, sir.”
“Right-o. Explains everything, what? But why there reads ‘engaged’ when there is already ‘at mortal peril’?”
“I really couldn’t say, sir.”

Drink

“Good morning, sir.”
“There is nothing good in this morning, Jeeves.”
“I am sorry to hear that.”
“I say, would you bring me one of your smashing remedies, Jeeves?”
“Here, sir.”
“That was fast. I rather think that of all the magical stuff you can do, this one is the best.”
“Thank you, sir”
“It is impressive that all you do is take some ordinary stuff and mix them together with a flick of wand, right?”
“Not quite, sir.”
“What do you mean?”
“As the main part of the drink is dragon blood, strengthened with eyes of rats, they…”
“Jeeves! Are you saying that this… That I have…”
“Yes, sir.”
“I shall never get drunk again.”
“Just as you say, sir.”

Potion

“I say; Jeeves, what have you here?”
“It is a love potion called....”
“Love, Jeeves!”
“Sir?”
“Do you realise the danger in that, Jeeves? I have already three fillies doing their very best to drag me down to altar and here you are, cooking up a love potion.”
“My apologizes, sir.”
“Apology accepted, Jeeves. But I say, it really smells wonderful.”
“Sir?”
“I think I can smell my morning tea and my favourite brandy and… Jeeves?”
“Sir?”
“Have you emptied your after-shave bottle here?”
“No, sir.”
“Well, the scent of it is rather strong don’t you know.”
“…”
“…”
“I love you too, sir.”

Comments are welcomed and all that jazz. Toodle-pip!

Ah, two of my favorite fandoms meeting in such a great way. Best bits:

"why does it read engagement when there's already mortal peril?"

The idea of Jeeves' restorative being a pepper-up potion is great. And the amortentia at the end...that just made this squeerific.

Another D'awww!

Cute, Jeeves as a wizard...and now begins my mind wondering which house Jeeves was in (Ravenclaw??), whether or not he played quidditch (Keeper??), from what his wand is made...yah..

Ravenclaw? Oh no, no. no, Jeeves is 100% Slytherin, no doubt in that :-))

Definitely. The Sorting Hat probably had a long time deciding, but Jeeves is ambitious, and that would have tipped the scale. A Ravenclaw wouldn't necessarily care about anything but gaining knowledge (for knowledge's own sake)--a Slytherin gains knowledge in order to use it.

By the way, have you received my letter? I was asking for your permission to translate this fic into Russian (with all the credit to you, of course).

Well, these comments are mostly in the lines of "thank you" and "what a pleasure" and "very nice" :-) And also "perfect visualisation" and "it's good to see all the little details from JKR canon here, for example how should Amortentia smell like". And the line "But why there reads ‘engaged’ when there is already ‘at mortal peril’?” is just an absolute hit :-)

It's wonderful!!!
I think I like the Lesson and the Potion best, but it's a darn tough choice.
Thanks!

Hard to say who'd Jeeves be. Certainly not a Hufflepuff, but other than that...

Just magic! Thanks for these delightful little vignettes. I loved them all, but I think the first two especially. Oh, and the love potion.

Ooo, that last one is rather sinister.

Jeeves is totally a Slytherin.

I've been wanting to do this type of crossover for ages; clearly I'm not alone!

Would you be interested in doing a round-robin type thing? I don't know how far back in the archives you've looked on this comm, or indeed how long you've been about, but there was this epic comment thread where dozens of people wrote drabbles back and forth in re Jeeves and Bertie as superheroes. It would be awesome to get something started with HP crossover drabbles--especially since so many J&W fans are HP fans, as well!

What's this new trend of writing crossover fic that I like?

Anyway, this is really amusing, I particularly loved
But why there reads ‘engaged’ when there is already ‘at mortal peril’?”
“I really couldn’t say, sir.”

Please to be making more of this.

Love,
The Lady 529
