[identity profile] jolie-reader.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] indeedsir_backup
Hi, everyone. This is my first time posting as well, although I have been lurking for a while now. :)
I'm actually posting in the hope that someone will remember a story that I've been craving--although sadly my memory of it is pretty nonexistent.
All I remember is Bertie actually reading a book--some kind of Serious Literature--for some reason. I'm sure that he really did read it, not just intended to read it. I think maybe it was to get Jeeves to respect him more? Or maybe to have something to talk about with Jeeves?
I realize that I'm not giving you guys much to go on--sorry! Hopefully someone might know what I'm talking about? Thanks so much! *crosses fingers*

Might you be thinking of Jeeves and the Tennis Coach (http://community.livejournal.com/indeedsir/338144.html) by [livejournal.com profile] out_there? Bertie purchases a book on Diderot in order to subtly woo Jeeves in the first part. Even if this isn't the fic you're looking for, I really recommend it--I was lucky enough to get to watch it grow from a plot bunny, and it's marvellous.

Or could it be the Tenets of Spinoza, by Timmeryn? The second last in a wonderful, wonderful series that could almost have been written by P.G. himself.

Enjoy if you haven't seen this already.
