Right Ho and a jolly good day, fellows ^^
Dec. 21st, 2008 11:49 pmMy name is chibi_wolvie, 25 years old, came from Germany and I'm Jeeves & Wooster addicted. This is my first offcial posting here. I apologized for my bad english, but I learn and working hard on it. I assure you. ^^ Long story short ^^ More under the cuts ^^
I'm really very glad to find this lovely Community. I walk here a little bit longer around and lurk here and there, give a comment there and here but I hadn't the trust to write a official post. But at this moment I haven't only the trust, nooo, I have a little tiny story and a little tiny fanart, too. ^^
I'm sure, I'm not as good as some guys here in the Community. Oh, I had never seen adorable fanarts like these in this Community. You're all so great when you draw... all of you ^^ And the writer, too. So great. I have laugh, cry, goofy smile and sometimes I where anxiously... you all did a good job ^^
I know, there are a few mistakes in the text, but I don't see them. I haven't a Betareader for my english text at this moment. When somebody has a little bit time to help out a little poor german girl to find out mistakes in english textes, then you're welcome. ^^
Thank you for this great Community ^^ *curtsey* And here the Fanart and the Fanfiction:
Fanart - one scarf, two fellows, three releases
date: 21.12.2008
color / tool: crayons / sharpie
It is winter and they did a walk around the neighbourhood. It is quite around them when they come into the wood... the silence, nobody is there... they're alone...
This is the first release of this fanart. Only the crayon-art without any another things.

Here the second release with snow around them and an light-effect

And here the last release. The background is one of the pictures of the snow that we had in north-germany at the 22.11. I think the both are a little bit blank... O_o

Fanfiction - Melt like snow, Sir

Introduction:
This is the story to the little fanart I have made. I hope you like and understand it ^^
"Melt like snow, Sir"
The snow gnashes under our steps. More snow is currently falling, laid down into our footsteps it blurs the way that we came by. Everything around us is under a thick white blanket. All is white, wherever you look, even your breath when you blow it into your hands to warm them up. I stop short, thinking your hands cannot be cold; they're in gloves.
You notice my hesitation, even though I thought I didn't let it show. Our glances meet each other for a moment and you smile. Immediately I warm up. I want to return the smile, but I can't. Anyway, you’re smiling. You don't disturb things like that. You could melt the snow with your smile, do you know that?
You come closer to me, carefully. You hop from foot to foot to warm yourself up, and I take the chance, grabbing your hand, pulling you closer to me, if only a tiny bit. I grab for my long scarf and undo it before I wrap one end of the scarf around your neck.
You look at me. I can see how baffled you are, but when you touch the scarf, a smile lights up your face like a flower that has come out of the snow. And I know this smile is only for me.
You're stronger than you think. You say that you always need my help, but I need your help too. I swallow, wondering if you noticed. I'm not as strong as you. When you say that we’re close-knit standing like this, I do smile.
My answer is a slight nod; I cannot speak at this moment. I wish I could ask you to come closer to me; for me this isn't near at all. Your breath touches my neck, but I cannot say anything... I'm powerless.
I feel my cheeks developing a blush. My mouth doesn't speak, but my body does, and so I lower my eyes. You're still here next to me, sharing the scarf, sharing the silence, the snowflakes caught in your hair...
I hear the snow gnashing under your steps, feel your warm breath nearer by, touching my hot cheeks, touching my heart. My eyes, searching for yours, find them looking at me, thoughtful. Something is in the air, but unlike the snow, this something is warm...
You trust yourself to get over the last hurdle, showing your strength. I am weak in your hands, I can do nothing more than gently return this warm kiss.
And all I can whisper afterwards is: 'I love you too, Sir...'
- End -
Thank you for read this little fanfiction ^^

Date: 2008-12-21 11:02 pm (UTC)Three things:
1: I love your drawing, they're unbelievably cute, and I do love cute boys <3
2: I can beta this little thing in less than ten minutes, if you want me to..?
3: Only thing that could be better about this post is if you'd put it under a cut. If you don't know how to put things under a cut, here's a short explanation:
- go to edit post
- write < lj-cut text="Right Ho and a jolly good day, fellows ^^"> at the very top of your post, in the text editing space, without the space after the first bracket
- write < /lj-cut> at the end of your post, once again with no space
- save post
This way, it takes up a lot less space on people's friends-lists : )
Let me know regarding the betaing,

Date: 2008-12-21 11:11 pm (UTC)to 1: Thank you ^^ I loved to draw the both ^^
to 2: You would it do? Thank you ^^ 10 minutes? That isn't so much. My teacher needs more time, I think. Uhm... are there many mistakes, or goes it?
to 3: Uhm, it is a little bit long, isn't it? Okay, I put it under the cut ^^
Thank you for your helping ^^

Date: 2008-12-21 11:56 pm (UTC)I have your version copyied in the posting, I hope it is okay that I notice you as the betareader for this little text.
Oh yes, my every time fault... I used often german gramma in a english text. The only that helped is to read more and more and more in english. But I'm often write storys in german, and that to put out when you want to write a text in english, is hard for me.
I think you did a good job ^^ *hugging* ^^
Oh you understand also german? And a grammar nerd and a teachers child ^^ Thank you really. I was a little bit anxiously for my first post, but I see you're all so nice here ^^ *hugging*

Date: 2008-12-22 12:09 am (UTC)I've got six languages so far, my German is the one needing the most work, but I'm getting there, when I was in Berlin a couple of weeks ago I had no trouble with my German at all. Reading and listening tends to do the trick!
And we do tend to be very nice here, yes *re:hugs*

Date: 2008-12-22 12:23 am (UTC)I'm very impresses. You speak six languages and used a perfect german gramma? That's so great to me! Oh yes, German needs every time work. I assure you, I did mistakes in german and of course it is my motherlanguage. It is really a difficult language.
Oh yes, I know what you mean. "Learning by doing" ^^ When you have the chance to come to Berlin and speak a couple of weeks german, that is jolly good. ^^

Date: 2008-12-22 12:31 am (UTC)Yes, Zwerg = dwarf, I remember that from translating parts of Lord of the Rings in German class X D
I speak (and write) English, Danish, German (sort of, when I'm not completely rusty), Spanish, Swedish and Norwegian. Will hopefully start Russian soon, I'm not hoping to be fluent, but it would be so good to be able to at least make myself understood if I have to speak to someone who does speak Russian but doesn't speak English.

Date: 2008-12-23 02:39 am (UTC)I know a little kid (8 years old! T.T) who speaks almost perfect English- although it's her 3rd language!
Yet I...know only English. T.T
This kind of reminded me of a joke I once heard where a freind is trying to cheer up his depressed freind by comparing lives and showing how much better he has it. His last point is "At least you get good grades! I got a D in English! I flunked my own language!" xD
...Don't know why, but this conversation reminded me of that. :3

Date: 2008-12-23 08:20 pm (UTC)It's partly due to the fact that I've grown up in a tiny wee country that's clinging to it's language, but still needs an international one 'cause it's so tiny. English is our second language by default, then either German, French or Spanish, but for me it was Norwegian, English, Swedish, Danish, German and finally Spanish when it comes to mastering it as well as I am now. I can read Italian, Portugese, Dutch and French, and understand spoken Italian and Brazilian Portugese (not Portugese Portugese though), but I don't have any eastern European languages yet, hence the Russian I'm hopefully starting in January. Next language'll probably be a tiny bit of Mandarin, Japanese, Swahili or Arabic, I'm having the most difficult time deciding where to start, I want to know them all!
And I've a mate who said that to me re: poetic analysis in Chile, I got full marks (7,0), along with an American boy, and almost all the Chilean students got 5,0 or less, and one of the boys commented that I just kicked his arse in his own language with my sixth. Which I will readily admit was rather a nice feeling : )

:D That's splendiferous!
I have no head for languages. I remember phrases well though, it's declensions I can't recall.

Date: 2008-12-23 08:43 pm (UTC)It's one thing learning a language in school, it's quite another when you're bombarded with it 'cause it's on the telly, it's in the music, the papers, the shops etc. Best way to learn a language? Live where they speak it for a while : )

Date: 2008-12-22 10:18 am (UTC)I think it's entirely realistic that Jeeves should recognise the inner strength that Bertie does have, that only those who are oblivious never notice, and the ending made me melt like snow.
I wouldn't mind some snow at the moment. Our so-far cool summer seems to be over and now the temperature is climbing. :-( But there is no getting out of it. Just looking at those two chibi-cuties without hats in the snow made me feel a little cooler!

Date: 2008-12-26 08:55 pm (UTC)Uhm, I only write what I feel when I see/read about Jeeves. That is for me the deep harmony between Bertie and Jeeves. Jeeves knows that Bertie is quite freehanded and big-hearted and can used it free up his mind. He has a inner force that Jeeves hasn't because of his drill (I used the word drill, I think Jeeves was formed with stricness) And Bertie knows that Jeeves has always an eye on him and rescure him of every bad situation.
They both need each other. But I don't know who of them need the other more? That is the big question.
Oh I see it right now, I haven't drawn any hats... O_o
