Hello again! :)
Couple of days ago I read again my absolute favorite fic, The Long Road by [livejournal.com profile] triedunture. I've been considering about making some sort of comic adaption from it, but then I realized that I just couldn't tear the text apart and it would be impossible for me to cram the atmosphere in little boxes.. IMO it should be read as it is written.
So I decided to make separate illustrations, and here is the first one!

It is from Bertie's nightmare (chapter 10). I took some artistic liberties, but the missing saddle is something I realized just after inking.. x_x Oh well. It is a dream, dash it! :D
I've never been really into horses and this was the first one I've ever drawn. It was pretty exciting, actually.

The text is completely by triedunture, and I take no credit from it. The picture is nevertheless mine. And yes, I have a permission to use the text.

*is momentarily speechless*
This is too good to be true. And you're going to make MORE of them...?
Again, I'm afraid I must repeat myself, but it's too good to be true!
I want to draw damn those stupid exams ):

Bless you, and [livejournal.com profile] triedunture

Oo, fabulous! That illo looks not just dramatic and good but also period-authentic, almost - as though you were illustrating the serialized story for Strand magazine.

Aha, I'm so good at reading comments... I kind of like the horse without the trappings, actually. It makes it look more wild and crazy!

I'm having trouble believing that you have not drawn horses before. That horse is so realistic that it could almost have been a photograph cartoonised, if that's a word. Looks 'period' as well.
