I bought a shirt yesterday, a pretty thing I fell in love with, adorned with earthtone paisleys.  When I showed it to eor his face underwent an indescribable transformation - shock and awe, perhaps?  I started giggling uncontrollably, because he looked as though he was about to say, "That shirt would not become you."

Finally he fought back the horror and found the kindest thing he could have said: "That looks like something Dharma would wear."  (Of "Dharma and Greg" - very funny show, and of course he adores Dharma because she's lovely and sweet, but also I often get the feeling he thinks I'm kind of like Dharma because I was raised by hippies.)

I do, at least as far as the furiously intelligent aspect of him goes. He doesn't usually have such a strong opinion about clothes, which makes me think the shirt is probably not so pretty as I thought...

Hee! :) Well, as I'm sure I've probably mentioned before, I'm always willing to share him. :)

Actually, he's not normally all that much like Jeeves, seeing as how he doesn't run every tiny aspect of my life and doesn't normally have a strong opinion about my clothes. (Likes to take me around and get me to try on pretty things, sometimes, but doesn't generally make any issue of what I choose to wear on a daily basis.) Which makes me think maybe this shirt really is not good and I should take it back.

But he is kind of like Jeeves in that he's amazingly intelligent.
