Hello my petals!

Okay, I've been terribly negligent of all of you, my dears! But here-- this is a story I've been working on passively for about a year! Madness.

It brings two things I've been seeking in the J/W world.

1. Intercrural action.
2. A Historical figure who isn't Oscar Wilde! (Not that I don't love the man, but still)

This was wonderful! I love the way you describe Bertie's emotions through his expressions: the look in his eyes, the way he smiles. The end was scorching hot. Intercrural action is, unfortunately, much unappreciated in slash fics, but I'm glad you tried to remedy that!

That was really enjoyable! Very rraowr, especially the ear action. An excellent use of Ellis as a character, and Bertie's seduction plan was excellent. You have a couple of typos--aught for ought, at the beginning of one chapter, and taught for taut, near the end of the last part.

Oh Lucy, this had me squeaking with delight and pure joy all the way through! So tender and sweet and beautiful and sexy and perfect. I loved the ear sensitivity, and the intercrural sex (yum!) and oh they were so wonderful.

Random tangent: One of my hobbies is Reading Far Too Much Into Things; coincidentally, earlier this evening I was reading a Saint story in which Simon Templar makes reference to Havelock Ellis, and I meant to look up who exactly that was, and didn't, but now I know thanks to you, so hooray. Anyway, given that Simon's generally not that well educated or whatever, and that I like to read far too much into things, I am so totally using his awareness of Havelock Ellis as part of my Canonical Justification of The Saint's Fanonical Omnisexuality.

Yay, new lucylou story! It was very enjoyable and hot! Loved Bertie's seduction, and the ear stroking. I also liked that Bertie was smart enough to realize that Jeeves had not rejected him completely, he just didn't want to take advantage of his drunk employer. Thank you so much for posting this, as it's looking to be possibly the lone bright spot in what's turning out to be a less-than-great week for me.

Lovely story! And I, too, always wake up in the middle of the night when I've been drinking. I especially liked the image of Bertie wiping at his eyes with the back of his wrist--it seemed very Bertie-like.

I've gone and read some of Havelock Ellis's book "Sexual Inversion" (project Gutenberg has it), and the case histories are all so sad--these poor middle-aged men going on about how of course they wouldn't want to do anything as horrible as have sex with a man, but it would be lovely to have someone to lie next to--it is for to cry. I don't wonder that Mr. Ellis would want to play cupid for Bertie and Jeeves, so they don't end up in such a sorry state.

Yeah, I just finished reading. And damn I wished that it would have never had to end!

(Also, I just love your Author's Notes at the end of each chapter - yes, most people do wake in the middle of the night after drinking, and you're right; no-one can eat asparagus sexily. ;) And "The Hound Detective" - ha! Sounds like a kid's story, aside from the obvious romantic direction that passage Bertie was reading went. Catching cat-burglers, indeed. ;))
