SQUEE!

...I know that by all rights I should be offering you fic.  Unfortunately my HHG2Wodehouse isn't quite finished yet.  (actually, I'd appreciate it if someone would look over it.  It's not in Bertie-voice, so I'm not that worried, but sometimes I word things very weirdly and I don't always catch it.)

I'm basically posting because...it was my birthday last week.  My mom placed an order to Amazon.com for the J&W series.

IT CAME TODAY.

I'm afraid I shrieked rather embarrassingly and flailed a bit.

...that's about it!

(For interested parties, I also got the Horatio Hornblower miniseries, and proceeded to parody the first episode in my LJ.  Uninterested parties go on and ignore the comment.  Though you've already read it...so I suppose you can't ignore it...okay, I'm stopping before this set of parentheses gets truly ridiculous.)

LOL, I can understand the excitement. I have two boxed sets of the series, and I am hoping very much that I'll be able to play the earlier discs in my new DVD drive when I get it, next week, probably. I have some other boxed sets as well. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I liked the first episode, and I particularly liked the dog Macintosh and the episode starring him. What a sweetie! If you ask me, Mac would be a healthier, happier, more long-lived dog if he lived fulltime with Bertie and Jeeves instead of his doting 'mother'. The boys know what is good for a dog. I wish I could remember the story in which he featured, as I don't remember if he had his duet with Bertie in the story as well. :-) But it was a long time ago.

I am an uninterested party :-) but that series got high praise as I recall. I think it was based on a book.

Oh, and happy belated birthday!

It was "Episode of the Dog McIntosh", but sadly, the duet was only on the show.
