Here I am pimping [livejournal.com profile] wodehouserpg Why? Because now we are accepting applications! Why? Because we have an application!

Yes! So apply as your favorite character today! Also I made it open membership now so it is easier to join.

Also some whacked out theories originally posted in my live journal.

1. The reason Constance Keeble keeps trying to get Baxter back at Blandings is because at one point they were having a secret affair. And She hopes to rekindle the romance.

2. Florence Craye maintains such strict and high standards for fiancé because she is secretly subconsciously scared of what will happen to her on the wedding night. She keeps going back to Bertie because he is the least threatening.

One silly crossover idea.

1. A slayer who also happens to Mulliner Or courted by a Mulliner.

I say!

Hallo there!

Fairly recent lurker and somewhat less recent Wodehouse fanatic, absolutely delighted to be here.

In the spirit of engendering debate in this fine community, I have a few questions to ponder over, viz and to whit:-

1) Which college was Bertie in at Oxford? I tend to peg him as either Christ Church or Magdalen; Magdalen because I'm completely biased (I want to study there), and because it was Oscar Wilde's college; Christ Church because it has an enormous quadrangle with a fountain, perfect for bicycling naked around and pretending to be a mermaid. ;)

2) Most people here, as do I, seem to slash Jeeves and Bertie (wahey!), but does anyone write slash involving other members of the Drones club? Personally, I like slashing Gussie Fink-Nottle, but I'm not entirely sure why.

3) Does anyone here read Raffles? I thought this would be the best place to look for fellow Raffles and Biggles fans, as we seem to be limited in number.

Well, off I go; charmed to be here. Expect some sort of fic from me, hopefully, within the near future. :)

Tinkerty-tonk,

Eli :D

This popped up on my Reuters “Oddly Enough” feed, and I thought I’d share the giggle.

No Sex please, we're British butlers

By Paul Majendie

LONDON (Reuters) - Forget the quintessential image of the British butler as the epitome of discreet decorum.

"Butlers in the Buff" has proved such a business success as half-naked waiters in Britain that the firm is now off round the world to market the ultimate "male order" service.

The company, whose waiters wear only a bow tie, collar, cuffs and a bottom-revealing apron, is the brainchild of former Royal Marine Jason Didcott who turned entrepreneur after serving in the Gulf and Bosnia.
