I've posted all the drivel I wrote on my journal. In retrospect it's a pretty shabby piece of scribble when I couldn't get near a computer at night this past summer. Even I am bothered by my loose use of verb tenses to denote present happenings and flashbacks. Also, anima_mecanique, completely agree with the ridiculous of the situation of having to walk a Persian cat....But dash it, I had set my mind on having a cat and the walking part bit just came out. I'd appreciate it if anyone can give it the once over, though I would be cautious to read too carefully into the tenses and even the plot sequence since it all makes very little senese.

Am currently happily reading away The Mating Season. I love how animals are always so fond of Bertie.

"The door opened, Sam Goldwyn came bounding in and flung himself on my chest as if we had been a couple of lovers meeting at jouney's end"
--Hee, Sam Goldwyn is Corky's dog @.@

"Ignoring the cat, which was weaving in and out between my legs with a camaraderie in its manner that suggested that it had now got me definitely taped as God's gift to the animal kingdowm of Wimbledon..." :)

And,
"'Well, wouldn't you turn your face to the wall if you were trapped in a place like this with everybody thinking you were Gussie Fink-Nottle and without Jeeves to comfort and advise? Oh, hell! Oh blast! Oh damn! Why couldn't Jeeves come? Is he ill?'"
I wonder what kind of 'comfort' Bertie is thinking about since it is known that Bertie often consider Jeeves to be a dashed unsympathetic fellow (verbally anyway) and have often expressed annoyance with Jeeves' byline, "Indeed, sir?" :)

Lastly, *SORRY!* did anyone else detect a hint of slashyness between Esmond Haddock and Gussie AKA Bertie? Bonding over port indeed.
