What ho!  I do hope I've got this all sorted out, this time, but my little brain is not used to such herculean (if that's the word I want) tasks.  Let me know if any links or bad, or if you happen to know what happened to song #17, or how all the different songs labeled "Ask Dad, etc" are supposed to work.  I'm sure I've got some of them mislabeled.

Hugh Laurie singing "Nagasaki" is quite delightful to me.  :)

ETA: To actually ADD the link I was referring to in this post! (told you my brain isn't up to this...)

Oh wow, you're ace! Especially now the Hat Sharpening Shop (http://www.hatsharpening.com/j&w/cd.php) has taken down the files from the offical soundtrack CD.

BTW, I do have a track labelled '17 - The Daily Grind' from the old HSS days. Can't really remember what it is, now - just a short instrumental, I think. If you want to comment with your email addy here and then quickly delete it, I'll send it to you.

You are made of awesome.

I'm grabbing most of these and will probably be back for all of them.

Thank you so much!

*Although Track 10 seems like it didn't upload correctly.

Ask Dad

From: [identity profile] chikkiboo.livejournal.com
Ask Dad was the musical that was being put on in New York involving some guy that Wooster was told to look after and not let get into Broadway. The first "Ask Dad" song is the titular track from the play, being practiced at home by Bertie with the reluctant help of Jeeves, the second is a full-cast rehearsal, and the final one is the actual on-stage finished production of the second song.

I'm sorry if this is stuff you already knew, but you asked about it...?

And thank you so much for posting this.

On a tangent, does anyone have any recommendations for getting "real" recordings of 1920s music?

Also, "Oh By Jingo" is cracking me the hell up. I've got it on repeat.
"Hello, Jeeves - that bit where it goes daaa-da diddy diddy da da mmpop mmpop - oh, it sends shivers down my spine, Jeeves."
"Well, perhaps if you were to put your jacket on, you'd feel the cold less keenly, sir."

THANK YOU!

Although my co-workers probably won't thank you when I go around humming 47 Ginger-Headed Sailors ;)

Seriously though, I truly appreciate it.
