To everyone who answered my two "test" questions earlier! Those were some great discussions, and gave me lots and lots of ideas.

And the one about Bertie accidentially setting the bed on fire?---I had to slap my hand over my mouth to keep from shrieking with laughter and making people wonder what was wrong with me!

Thanks again, so much!

New Addition---A Question I Meant To ask!

I'm trying to find a story that I remember reading a while back---It was Jeeves' POV and was about his experiences right before he signed on with Bertie. The thing I remember the most was how Jeeves and Bertie kept passing like ships in the night. It was very clever! Could someone point me back to it? Thanks ahead of time!

Since I've gotten into J&W, I've been making a list of fics I'd like to read and then seeing if they appear in the comm (I'm working my way through from the start). I think the only one I've found so far is your fic, which more than fulfilled my wish to see Jeeves' previous employers and how they weren't quite suited to him. I need to re-read, as I didn't catch the handkerchief part. (One of our burst-out-laughing lines from the show was Jeeves' reference to Bertie's "novelty handkerchiefs".) It's really a great fic, and I've got it memoried (or I should, if I don't).

You keep leaving me comments in all these old posts. It's going to my head. ^_^

Seriously, though, thanks. I do love that story, myself, and it makes me happy when other people say they like it too.

I endeavour to give satisfaction, sir.

(I really need to acquire a Jeeves and/or Wooster icon.)

It was a pleasure reading this again... I only now realized that the "fine cambric handkerchief" that the doorman blows his nose with once belonged to Bertie!

Thank you! And yes, that's the one he gave away. (I thought of having it be monogrammed, and then I remembered Jeeves's opinion on monograms on handkerchiefs!)
