[livejournal.com profile] fanart50 UPDATE!

Introducing Aunt Agatha!

But enough of that, I have business to bring to the table. As the lot of you have probably surmised at this point, I’m embroiled in a Jeeves and Wooster [livejournal.com profile] fanart50 challengemabob, and I think I’ve been making corkingly good progress.

But my ambition has decided to kick things up a bit. Now, from some of the challenges I have a very clear idea of what I’m going to be drawing (that being the reason I took up the challenge to begin with, of course). But because I do so love to whore myself out to fandoms on occasions, and because my ambition thought that this fanart50 thing has working a little TOO well for me, I come to you with a Proposition.

Below are 20 of the 50 prompts, and are the ones I really have no particularly interesting ideas for. Oh sure, I could knock out some drawings for, but they probably wouldn’t be clever or funny or worth the bother.

So, the point of this long-winded tale is that I offer them to you. Should one inspire a fancy in you for a certain pose or scene, post that fancy in the comments, and the Code will force me to make it so (although PLEASE realize that my skillz at drawing porn and nekkid people are like, NONE. Oh I’d be game and give my best shot and all, but it may induce horror rather than glee. Just FYI. ). And just to up the ante, if a prompt inspires more than one of you, and thereby resulting in more than one scenario for me to draw, I’ll do them all!

I absolutely love the snippet you included with the picture of Aunt Agatha. I had never realized that Jeeves did that in canon. Wooooow!

wow - your writing felt, tasted, and looked (not to mention sounded) like the real deal! I was convinced it was Wodehouse.... Uber cute. errm, i've got an idea for the I feel old... Bertie, on the beach trying to make a sand castle, with a kid dumping a shovel of sand over his poor, unsuspecting head, and Jeeves looking on with a 'told you so' expression and/or maxim. As for the cold one - has Bertie ever tripped into a fountain? Because that would be cute. But maybe i can come up with a better idea for cold...

oooh, brainwave for 30) It was great. Bertie and Jeeves, picnicking in some horrid location, like a hill, where everything keeps rolling off cause there isn't enough room and it's too steep, and there are ants(not aunts though thanks god) and the wind keeps blowing everything everywhere, and Jeeves is struggling to keep the picnic orderly, but Bertie is perfectly happy, because he's on a picnic with Jeeves and because well, he's Bertie..

We set the picnic lunch down on the hilltop, were the grass was green, and the sun was shining, and a light breeze blew - well, perhaps it was more than a light breeze, as Jeeves was having considerable trouble laying down the picnic blanket, but I wasn't worried - if anybody could beat Mother Nature at her game, it was Jeeves.
He finally got the blanket down, and secured its edges with pots of jam and treacle. He laid out the bountiful lunch atop the blanket. We had brought quite a lot of food, and it seemed to fill the entire expanse of hilltop - Jeeves and I where forced to balance on the edge of the crest. I started in on the hearty fare Jeeves had packed, while Jeeves sat guard across from me. (I had offered him some -who wants to feel left out in a picnic? - and he had declined; though he had accepted a flute of wine.) After a while, I noticed some ants invading our expanse of blanket. I laid some crumbs out in a trail for them to follow. When Jeeves saw this, he edged away as far as he could without tumbling down like Jack who had broke his crown, and hastily shook a couple of ants that had crawled up his sleeve. The poor blighter was visibly upset. I however was enjoying this entire picnic debacle. In my opinion, ants are a sight better than aunts. To tie it up neatly, It was great.

a bit long, but there's your quote - and you may alter/do with it as you wish. ^_^

Cheers!

I don't know whether to apologize, blush, or thank you. *Decides to thank you*
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for taking on my hard (but squee-full) idea. Do you mean the picnic one? or is it one of the first two? I can't help it, but the picnic one is turning into a full length fic. It just keeps growing and growing and i can't hold it down. sigh. *blushes as an afterthought*

Hey, you want to co write the fic?? Ive always wanted to co write a fic, and it would be crazy if we both came out with separate fics for the picture... If you don't want to do it, it's all right, but... It would be soo cool....

Awesome!

I'll send you what i have written, as soon as I type it up (it's on notebook paper).

I've got the idea that Jeeves eventually does fall off the hill, when Bertie attempts to pick ants off of him, and the ants are obviously slashers because they travel to ahem -interesting places, and Jeeves gets a bump on his head, and a headache trying to explain to Bertie that Jack wasn't really wearing a crown in Jack and Jill... I totally need help on some of the dialogue though...

I love the pic - It's nothing like i imagined, but i've got to say, it's even better! I never imagined it from that angle -it's a difficult one to draw, i always have trouble with it - but you handled it beautifully. You managed to make the hill look tippy!! looking at it from the front! You genius you...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, okay. I was wondering about that, because Jeeves doesn't usually let anything show in his expression, but it usually slips into his voice.

Yes, but Bertie is just the person to see an expression on Jeeves' face when nobody else can.

"I don't get it" seems to be begging for a puppy dog eyed Bertie being shown something by a ridiculously patient Jeeves.

For "Good Morning" I rather fancy the idea of a sleepy Bertie and Jeeves either thinking about or putting in place different ways to wake him up - no, not that! wash your minds out with soap. I was thinking more a brass band, an aunt or two and maybe a Madeleine Bassett waiting in the sitting room..

Where am I? gives me the image of Bertie waking up in a haystack with Jeeves either beside him or standing by with one of his patented pick-me-ups on a salver. If the latter, a policeman's helmet is almost de rigeur.

"Accept it" should be Bertie forking over a tie or some other unacceptable article of clothing after Jeeves has saved his bacon.

"I feel better" definitely calls for one of Jeeves's restorative preparations. If you could draw a few of the faces Bertie makes before feeling better, that'd be hilarious.

And for "not listening," I quite fancy Jeeves quoting Shakespeare at Bertie (possibly with a pic of Romeo and Juliet in a speech bubble?) while oblivious Bertie's thought bubble is filled with something totally unrelated.

And just to let you know: I am totally friending you on the basis of these drawings, which have been great, and on the fact that you've got a G.K. Chesterton icon. Chesterton icon!love!
