Having been reminded of my first fic in this community I've been wanting to get back to writing the sequel- in the mean time though here's a little something from Bertie and Bingo's time at school.
It's Bertie/Bingo and mostly implied.

A Scene from the Study

“You simply have to see him, Bertie” groaned Bingo, sprawled in the large chair in our study.
I wasn’t actually in a position to ask who it was I should see, but Bingo carried on anyway;
“Carter-Jones Minor. I saw him on the way in to breakfast- a veritable Ganymede, with soft brown hair and long, long eyelashes, rosebud lips and the dewy bloom of youth…”
Well, really. I mean to say. I wouldn’t have minded so much if this particular example hadn’t been the fifth such ‘veritable Ganymede’ Bingo had gone goopy over this year, and we weren’t even in Advent yet. But he was, and this v.G. happened to be one I knew by sight, having spent part of the last summer at his family’s place as a guest of the older brother who was in our form. And if this young tick was any sort of Ganymede then I was Leda. I felt that it was important to address the matter once and for all, and disengaged myself.
“Eh? Why have you stopped?”
“Bingo, old chap, you know that I am always very glad to hear about your outside interests, the ear of friendship listens but does not judge and all that, but I have to say that it can be seen as a touch tactless going on about said outside interests to a chap who currently has his head down. I mean, one likes to feel that one’s best efforts are being appreciated, don’t you know. And not to be relegated to the status of, say, a hand?”
Bingo looked suitably chastened.
“Sorry, Bertie, you’re quite right. I’ll save it for later. Um, would you mind awfully carrying on?”
“Be glad to. Tell you what, Chivers has been after me to take his deten, duty tomorrow night, so you can call young what’s-his-name up here to make you some toast.” We Woosters can be magnanimous in victory.
Bingo grinned appreciatively down at me.
“You’re a good sort, I’ve always said it-“ he broke off- arched his back and gasped, and continued in a hiss “Especially when you do that…”

You wrote what I've always wanted to write and you did it about a thousand times better.

Eternally. In. Debt.

*smirks* I've always been dead sure there was something going on, Bertie/Bingo-wise, back in their schooldays. Bingo's just so prone to bursting in on Bertie at all hours and sitting on his bed, to say nothing of the "we were at school together! The dear old school...etc." guilt trips. Poor Bertie. Boy just can't say no. Which, of course, is why he needs Jeeves.

(I wonder what would happen if Bingo were striken with nostalgia c. "The Inimitable Jeeves" and decided to moon over and put moves on Bertie again. I do not think Jeeves would be pleased... *releases were-rabbit plot bunny upon an unsuspecting community!*)

if this young tick was any sort of Ganymede then I was Leda Love this line! Great fun altogether.

to a chap who currently has his head down.

*whoops with laughter* Wodehousian subtlety, indeed!

Squishily adorable - esp. 'would you mind awfully carrying on' and the slang.
