I’ve made two drawings of Bertie!!
Just to let you know, ‘L.N.’ is my initials they’re from my sur- and first name.

I’ve never drawn a human before, or let me say ‘I did’ but it didn’t look like one! Please let me know if they’re at least “okay”

Kid Bertie sitting at the grave of his father, oh and he has a slightly darker hand than intended to so just try to imagine he’s wearing gloves or something ;)Kid BertieThis one is from a fragment where Bertie is singing ‘Minnie the Moocher’. sorry 'bout the empty background but i didn't know what to draw there :(

You certainly draw him better than some of the old illustrators from Strand magazine! ;)

I like how enthusiastic Bertie looks while he's singing. :)

His hands in the piano-playing scene are very nice and expressive ... hands are SO hard to draw (I find) -- I am really amazed (and a bit jealous) that this is your first attempt drawing humans and that you have got the naturalism and gesture down so well.

I thought I'd commented earlier on this... they are more than 'at least OK' and in fact, rather charmingly full of feeling.
